Jorge Mario Bergoglio, known in our hearts as Pope Francis, the 266th leader of the Roman Catholic Church, has passed away today, April 21, 2025 at the age of 88. Throughout his papacy, which began in 2013, Pope Francis was celebrated for his commitment to humility, interfaith dialogue, and social justice. His actions spoke volumes as he championed the rights of the marginalized, called for climate action, and tirelessly worked toward peace and unity across religious and cultural divides. Known for his simplicity and kindness, he reshaped the role of the papacy, making it more relatable and accessible to millions worldwide. Pope Francis leaves behind a profound legacy that will continue to inspire future generations to act with compassion, understanding, and love. His passing marks the end of an era, but his message of love and hope will resonate for years to come. May we honor his legacy by continuing to build a more inclusive and caring world.

“𝐇𝐞 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐞𝐧! 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐥𝐮𝐢𝐚!”

On Easter Sunday, the stone is rolled away, the tomb is empty, and the cry of victory echoes through eternity Christ is risen! This is the heart of our faith the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the defeat of death, and the dawn of a new creation.

What once seemed lost in sorrow is now transformed by joy. The cross is no longer a symbol of death, but of everlasting life. Jesus’ resurrection is not just a moment in history it is a living, eternal promise that light will always conquer darkness, and love will always prevail.

Easter is a celebration of hope restored, of new life born from suffering, and of the assurance that nothing not sin, not death, not despair can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus.

This holy day calls us to live as resurrection people to let go of fear, rise from the tombs of our own lives, and carry the light of Christ into the world.

Holy Saturday is a sacred pause a day of silence, stillness, and profound waiting. Jesus lies in the tomb, and all creation seems to hold its breath. The sorrow of Good Friday still lingers, and yet, beneath the surface, something holy is unfolding.

The Church waits in quiet expectation, holding vigil through the darkness, preparing for the light of resurrection. It is a time of tension between grief and hope, between the end of what was and the promise of what will be.

This day teaches us that God works even in the silence. In our own seasons of waiting, when all seems uncertain or still, we are invited to trust that new life is being prepared, even when we cannot see it.

As we await the joy of Easter, Black Saturday invites us to rest in faith, to sit with the mystery, and to cling to hope the kind of hope that is not loud or instant, but deep, enduring, and quietly powerful.

“𝐈𝐭 𝐢𝐬 𝐟𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐝.” (John 19:30)

On Good Friday, the Church enters into the sacred silence of sorrow, remembering the Passion and death of Jesus Christ on the Cross. It is the day the Lamb of God was sacrificed for the sins of the world the moment when love bore the weight of all suffering, and mercy triumphed over sin.

As we stand at the foot of the Cross, we are invited to behold the depth of God's love a love that held nothing back, a love that forgave even as it was wounded. Jesus’ final words, “It is finished,” echo through time, not as a cry of defeat, but as a proclamation of victory. The mission of redemption was fulfilled.

Good Friday is a day of fasting, prayer, and deep reflection. The veil of the temple was torn, the earth shook, and hope seemed lost but in that darkness, the promise of salvation was already unfolding.

𝙏𝙝𝙧𝙤𝙪𝙜𝙝 𝙃𝙞𝙨 𝙬𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙𝙨, 𝙬𝙚 𝙖𝙧𝙚 𝙝𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙚𝙙. (Isaiah 53:5)
Let us honor this most solemn day with reverence, humility, and gratitude, remembering that the Cross is not the end of the story but the doorway to eternal life.

“𝐋𝐨𝐯𝐞 𝐨𝐧𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐬 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮.” (John 13:34)

On Maundy Thursday, we enter into the sacred memory of the Last Supper, where Jesus shared His final meal with His disciples before His Passion. It was on this night that He instituted the Holy Eucharist, giving us His Body and Blood as a perpetual sign of His love and sacrifice.

The word “Maundy” comes from the Latin “mandatum,” meaning “commandment.” On this night, Jesus gave us a new commandment “Love one another as I have loved you.” It is not a love of words alone, but of action, sacrifice, and compassion.

But Maundy Thursday is also marked by an extraordinary act of humility. Jesus washing the feet of His disciples. The King of Kings knelt down as a servant, teaching us that true discipleship is found in self-giving love and service to others.

As we remember the institution of the priesthood, the gift of the Eucharist, and the call to humble service, we are invited to ask ourselves
How am I serving others? Am I willing to love as Christ loves me?

Holy Wednesday, also known as Spy Wednesday, commemorates one of the most sorrowful moments leading up to the Passion of Christ. The decision of Judas Iscariot to betray Jesus for thirty pieces of silver. The name "Spy Wednesday" reflects the stealth and secrecy of Judas' betrayal, as he acted like a friend while preparing to hand over the Lord.

This day calls us to reflect deeply on the reality of human weakness, the temptation of sin, and the devastating impact of broken trust. Yet even in the shadow of betrayal, we see the light of God’s unshakable plan a plan of redemption, love, and mercy.

Jesus knew of Judas’ intentions, and still, He chose to love and walk the path to the Cross. His response reminds us that our failures do not derail God’s purpose, and His mercy remains available, even in our darkest moments.
