Ang pagpapatuloy ng 𝗣𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗮𝘂𝗴𝗻𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝗳𝘁 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲 na naglalayong 𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗮𝘆 𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗮𝘅 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗺𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗺𝗴𝗮 𝗹𝗲𝗵𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗸𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗯𝗮 sa Bayan ng Silang ay matagumpay na isinagawa bilang pagkilala sa mahalagang ambag ng mga kooperatiba sa lokal na ekonomiya at pagpapaunlad ng kabuhayan ng mga mamamayan.

Ang naturang ordinansa ay isinumite ni Hon. Luciano “Jun” De Jesus Jr., Chairperson ng Silang Municipal Cooperative Development Council (SMCDC) at ABC President, at pinangunahan ni Konsehal Ohmie Toledo, Chairman ng Committee on Cooperatives kasama ang mga miyembro ng Committee on Cooperatives na sina Councilor Eric Garcia at Councilor Allan A. Tolentino, sa gabay ni Ms. Cynthia B. Cortez, Municipal Cooperatives Development Officer.

𝐒𝐌𝐂𝐃𝐂 𝐆𝐄𝐍𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐋 𝐀𝐒𝐒𝐄𝐌𝐁𝐋𝐘

The 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝘂𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗗𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗹𝗼𝗽𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 (𝗦𝗠𝗖𝗗𝗖) successfully held its General Assembly last October 15, 2025, bringing together cooperative leaders, stakeholders, and partner national agencies to strengthen collaboration and unity among cooperatives in Silang.

The program opened with a warm and inspiring message from 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝘆𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗮 𝗕. 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝘇, Municipal Cooperatives Development Officer, who emphasized the importance of continuous partnership and innovation in advancing the cooperative movement in Silang.

The assembly was presided by SMCDC Chairperson 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗗𝗲 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗝𝗿., who led the discussions on the council’s accomplishments, programs, and future directions for the cooperative sector.

We were also honored by the presence of 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗣𝗚𝗲𝗻 𝗘𝗱𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗘. 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮 (𝗥𝗲𝘁.), Municipal Mayor of Silang, who delivered an inspiring message of support to the various cooperative activities and initiatives in the municipality. Mayor Carranza expressed his strong commitment to continuously support the future plans and programs of the cooperative movement in Silang—recognizing its vital role in promoting inclusive growth, local enterprise development, and community empowerment.

The active participation of our partner national government agencies further strengthened the spirit of partnership in advancing cooperative development in Silang.

Together, we move forward in building a stronger, more empowered, and united cooperative community!

𝐒𝐈𝐋𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐂𝐎𝐎𝐏 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐙 𝐁𝐄𝐄 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓

Last 𝗦𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝟮𝟵, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱, the Silang Coop Quiz Bee was held at the New Municipal Hall Building, Brgy. B**a I, Silang, Cavite, showcases the brilliance and cooperative spirit of Grade 10 students from 11 schools in Silang. The event highlighted not only academic excellence but also the values of teamwork, unity, and leadership among the youth.

The program was opened with an encouraging message from 𝗠𝘀. 𝗖𝘆𝗻𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗮 𝗕. 𝗖𝗼𝗿𝘁𝗲𝘇, who emphasized the importance of youth participation in sustaining the cooperative movement.

This was followed by ABC President and SMCDC Chairperson, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗟𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗼 𝗣. 𝗗𝗲 𝗝𝗲𝘀𝘂𝘀 𝗝𝗿., who shared a heartfelt message of support, underscoring that activities like the Coop Quiz Bee nurture discipline, camaraderie, and leadership among young people.

To inspire the participants even further, 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗘𝗱𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 𝗘. 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗮 delivered an empowering message, reminding the students that true leadership is built on knowledge, values, and community spirit, and that their participation today is a step toward becoming responsible citizens and future leaders of Silang.

The event also received support from 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗹𝗼 𝗠𝗮𝗱𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗮𝗰𝗮𝘆 and 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹𝗼𝗿 𝗔𝗿𝗶 𝗩𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗰𝗼, who both visited the program and extended their encouraging messages to the participants, reinforcing the local government’s commitment to empowering the youth through education and cooperative values.

The competition was guided with excellence by our Quiz Master, 𝗠𝘀. 𝗗𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮 𝗗. 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗥𝗼𝗰𝗮, CDS II of CDA IV-A, together with the respected Board of Judges: 𝗠𝘀. The SMCDC Executive Committee convened yesterday to tackle key matters for the cooperatives in Silang.

Review of the SMCDC Manual of Operation
Recognition of Cooperative Development Council (CDC)
Conduct of the Municipal Coop Quiz Bee
Preparations for the upcoming Municipal and Provincial Cooperative Month Celebration

The meeting reaffirmed SMCDC’s commitment to foster stronger collaborations and meaningful programs for the benefit of cooperatives and the community.

The orientation for the upcoming Coop Quiz Bee was successfully held, with Grade 10 students and their coaches from both public and private schools in the municipality, along with SMCDC officials. The session was joined by Ms. Danica Dela Roca of CDA, who delivered a comprehensive orientation for the participants.

The activity aimed to brief participants on the mechanics, rules, and guidelines of the Quiz Bee, ensuring fair play and preparedness for the competition.

This gathering also served as an avenue to motivate the students and recognize the coaches for their guidance and support.
