Mayor Glona G. Labadlabad of Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte last September 18, 2026.

The meeting underscored the continuing partnership between the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) in advancing institutional programs and community-centered initiatives. Among the topics discussed was the request for logistical support to strengthen operational mobility, ensuring that custodial and administrative functions are sustained with efficiency and reliability.

Equally emphasized was the fortification of security measures, ranging from perimeter security enhancements to the improvement of operational capacity.

JSINSP MABILOG expressed his gratitude to Mayor Labadlabad for her openness and steadfast support to institutional needs. Mayor Labadlabad reaffirmed the LGUโ€™s commitment to collaborative governance, recognizing the BJMPโ€™s vital role in ensuring peace, order, and rehabilitation efforts in the community.

07 September 2026 | Sindangan District Jail, under the supervision of JCSUPT AMADO A CONCEPCION JR., CESE, Regional Director of the Jail Bureau and the leadership of JCINSP ARVIN DAN R AGUITO, Warden, led by JSINSP ARVIN C RECAMARA, Assistant Jail Warden, proudly took part in the 82nd Shinyo Maru Commemoration held at the Shinyo Maru Marker, Barangay RG Macias, Sindangan, Zamboanga del Norte.

The solemn gathering honored the memory of the victims of the Shinyo Maru tragedy and reinforced the importance of historical awareness within the community. Together with the Local Government Unit of Sindangan and partner agencies, our personnel joined the memorial service, standing in solidarity with the people of Sindangan.

Through this participation, Sindangan District Jail reaffirms its commitment to community partnership, historical remembrance, and nation-building.
