The future will be so sweet if we plant more trees.

Early this morning, personnel from this station and OPFM personnel headed to Siquijor Sanitary Landfill located in Brgy. Caipilan, Siquijor to raise new hope in planting molave trees. Thirty molave trees were partially planted around the area. It is a tropical tree native in our country highly valued for its durable wood but known as endangered due to overharvesting and habitat loss.

We would like to give thanks to Ms. Lhermie Areja, MENRO Designate of LGU-Siquijor for the invitation and providing seedlings. We are much willing to participate some other time for another tree planting activites.
