The spirit of sportsmanship, camaraderie, and healthy competition came alive at Lactawan Elementary School as learners gathered for the much-anticipated School Intramurals 2026 on August 8, 2026.
With enthusiasm filling the school grounds, learners showcased not only their athletic skills but also their determination, discipline, teamwork, and respect for their fellow competitors. The event served as an avenue for learners to develop their talents while strengthening friendship and unity among the different units.
After a series of exciting and competitive games, Unit 1 Blue Marlins emerged as the Champion, demonstrating impressive teamwork, perseverance, and competitive spirit. The team was coached by Mam Cherry S. Taberna and Mam Maybel P. Macadandang.
Taking the First Runner-Up position was Unit 2 Black Panther, coached by Sir Rafael B. Callanga and Mam Juliemer G. Lumidao. Their players displayed determination and teamwork throughout the competition.
Meanwhile, Unit 3 Red Dragon secured the Second Runner-Up spot. The team was coached by Mam Mary Joy R. Dacusin and Mam Cecille A. Valdez, who guided their learners with encouragement and dedication.
Beyond the medals and rankings, the Intramurals highlighted the importance of sportsmanship, cooperation, discipline, and respect. Every learner who participated was a winner, demonstrating courage, perseverance, and a willingness to work with others toward a common goal.
The activity was successful thanks to the active participation of the learners and teacher-officiators, under the leadership of Mam Rubelyne A. Vicente, Teacher-in-Charge of Lactawan Elementary School.
The Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) also played an important role in supporting the activity. The BLGU officials, headed by Hon. Brgy. Captain Sherwin E. Vicente, extended their support and cooperation, contributing to the successful and meaningful celebration of sports among the learners.
As the cheers faded and the games came to an end, the true victory of the Intramurals remained evidentโnot only in the championship title won by the Blue Marlins, but in the friendships forged, lessons learned, and values strengthened.
The Lactawan Elementary School Intramurals 2026 once again proved that sports are more than just winning. They are about building character, nurturing teamwork, celebrating diversity, and creating a stronger and more united school community.
