Delegates and planners from the MIMAROPA Region gathered last April 29, 2026 for the 2026 Regional Seminar on Smart Community Planning. As part of this knowledge-sharing initiative, the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) visited our very own City Information Technology Office.

The site tour showcased our city’s latest IT initiatives and how Santa Rosa is setting the standard for "Smart City" development in the region. We are proud to share our best practices with our fellow planners from across the islands!

Kinilala ang Santa Rosa bilang nag-iisang lungsod mula sa buong lalawigan ng Laguna na nakatanggap ng nasabing parangal. Patunay ito ng mabilis at epektibong digital transformation ng lokal na pamahalaan at ng patuloy na pagsisikap nitong gawing mas episyente ang paghahatid ng serbisyo sa mamamayan.

Please be careful! There is a widespread scam circulating where people receive SMS messages claiming they have a "No Contact Apprehension" or "Unpaid LTO Violation."

How to spot the scam:

The Link: They use suspicious links like lto-gov.ph-violation.com or similar unofficial URLs.

The Pressure: They threaten "license suspension" if you don’t pay immediately.

The Source: LTO does not send violation notices via regular mobile numbers.

What to do:

Check your status only through the official LTMS Portal (portal.lto.gov.ph)✅✅.

Block and report the sender.

The City Government of Santa Rosa has been informed of a page named “𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚 𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐚 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞” that uses the 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚 and posts invitations related to the opening of a 𝐌𝐜𝐃𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐝’𝐬 𝐛𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐡 𝐢𝐧 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧, directing users to a link that requests and collects personal information for supposed “tickets.”

𝗗𝗜𝗦𝗖𝗟𝗔𝗜𝗠𝗘𝗥

1. “𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚 𝐋𝐚𝐠𝐮𝐧𝐚 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐮𝐦 𝐎𝐧𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐞” is 𝐍𝐎𝐓 an official page of the City Government of Santa Rosa and is 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐚𝐮𝐭𝐡𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐝 to use the City Seal or represent the City Government in any capacity.

2. The official page of the City Government is “𝐒𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐚 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐚 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.”

3. The City Government is NOT connected to the invitation, the page, or any data collection link associated with the post, and this is 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐚𝐧 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭.

4. The public is strongly advised 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐭𝐨 𝐜𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐤 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐤 and 𝐍𝐎𝐓 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐲 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 (name, mobile number, address, email, IDs, photos, or any sensitive data).

5. Please 𝐫𝐞𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐩𝐚𝐠𝐞/𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐅𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐛𝐨𝐨𝐤 as 𝐒𝐜𝐚𝐦 or 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐛𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐦𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐞, and 𝐛𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤 it to prevent further victimization.

• Change your passwords immediately and enable two-factor authentication.
• Review your account activity and watch for suspicious messages or login alerts.
• Do not send any follow-up details such as 𝐈𝐃𝐬, 𝐎𝐓𝐏𝐬, 𝐬𝐞𝐥𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐨𝐫 𝐩𝐚𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧.

The City Government urges the public to rely only on 𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐞𝐝 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐥𝐬 for announcements and advisories.
