Leadership is more than carrying a title. It is about the work behind every initiative, the voices represented, and the responsibility to serve the student body.
During the Regional Monitoring, Evaluation, and Provision of Technical Assistance on Youth Formation Programs held at Libertad National High School on October 21, the Supreme Secondary Learner Government (SSLG), led by President Brigette Shane Berdejo, underwent an evaluation of its officers, plans, activities, and documentation.
The assessment provided an opportunity to look back on the organization's efforts, recognize areas for improvement, and consider how its programs can better respond to the needs of learners. With the guidance of SSLG adviser Sir Aris Lo, the evaluation also served as a step toward strengthening student leadership and making future initiatives more purposeful.
Beyond checking reports and accomplishments, evaluation invites student leaders to reflect on the kind of leadership they practice and the impact they hope to leave. It is a chance to listen, learn, and turn feedback into better ways of serving the school community.
Because leadership does not end with the projects completed or the plans presented. It continues in the willingness to improve, the courage to address concerns, and the commitment to make student voices count. ๐
