1. Pagdala ug ID basta makita ug maklaro ang imong nawong ug pirma.

2. Mag sugod ang pagpamotar alas 7 sa Buntag hangtod alas 3 sa Hapon...WALAY PRIORITY NUMBER but FIRST ABOT, FIRST BOTAR pero duha na ka line (regular ug express lane)

THEME: 'Green Skills for Youth: Towards a Sustainable World' has been chosen as the theme for International Youth Day in 2023. The United Nations believes that this transformation towards a future that is both ecologically sustainable and climate-friendly is of utmost importance.

Pursuant to Section 30 of Republic Act No. 10742, the Sangguniang Kabataan Reform Act of 2015 mandates the observance of Linggo ng Kabataan in very barangay, municipality, city and province on the week where the 12th of August falls to coincide with the International Youth Day (IYD).

This year’s International Youth Day aims to raise awareness on the importance of green skills for the youth as the world is embarking on a shift towards environmental stability and climate-friendliness to respond to the global climate crisis. Green skills are “knowledge, abilities, values and attitudes needed to live in, develop and support a sustainable and resource-efficient society”. These include knowledge and skills that enable the effective use of green technologies and processes in occupational settings to facilitate environmentally sustainable decisions in everyday life. While green skills are important for people of all ages, they have heightened importance for younger people, who can contribute to the green transition for a longer period of time.

The Commission encourages all stakeholders to synchronize their LNK activities with this important theme, fostering unity with the global community as we commemorate the International Youth Day.

In partnership with the Local Government Unit of Barangay Nabago Surigao Council headed by the supportive Barangay Captain Hon. Albert Aba-a together with our dynamic SK Chairperson Hon. Rowil Plaza Tuquib and SK Members.

✨This is an Orientation-Seminar on the Guidelines of the Sangguniang Kabataan Planning & Budgeting Process, Rules and Regulations Implementing the RA 10742 for Punong Barangay, SK Chairperson, SK Secretary and SK Treasurer was held on April 20, 2023 together with our dynamic SK Chairperson Rowil Plaza Tuquib and our bubbly SK Treasurer Quenie Rich Tuquib Laplana.

The DILG Director and City Local Operations Officer Roberto Patayon, Sangguniang Kabataan Surigao City Federation President Marah Adtoon, LYDO Designate of Local Youth Development Office Denise Rose Borimbao, City Administrator Atty. Jeffrey P. Galido, City Budget Officer Nelson S. Alcala, Acting Accounting Officer Emmadel Lisondra, and State Auditor Aileen R. Lumungsod were also there. There were 113 total of Punong Barangays, SK Chairpersons, SK Secretaries and SK Treasurers who attended the Orientation and Seminar at City Cultural Center. 🤗

✨BRIEF HISTORICAL BACKGROUND OF OUR BELOVED HOMETOWN - BARANGAY NABAGO, SURIGAO CITY, SURIGAO DEL NORTE, CARAGA, PHILIPPINES✨

The first immigrants of Barangay Nabago were Leyteneous who came way back in 1925. They settled near the shoreline and the creek. It is the center of development during that time and their existing transportations were the pumpboats and bancas.

Based on these observations, they named the place from an edible leaf "Bago" which is nutritious and dominant in the place. It is located and can be found at the hillside of the said Barangay.

Barangay Nabago was formerly known as Sitio Nabago, that belongs to Barangay Tagana-an, Surigao del Norte before. It was officially proclaimed as a regular Barangay on March 31, 1957 under R. A. 1408 as adopted by P. D. 557 as the legal basis of the presence of Hon. Ramon A. Kaimo Sr. They celebrated the feast day every 15th day of May in honor of the Patron Saint "San Isidro Labrador" but later it was moved on "May 17th", it is because the Parish Priest could no longer accommodate the schedule.

Today we will celebrate again the ARAW NG BARANGAY NABAGO. We commemorate this day in honor to the contributions, achievements and success of our people living in our Barangay. We will rejoice for all the blessings and developments in our Barangay by the help of our Local Government Unit headed by our Brgy. Captain Hon. Albert Aba-a, entire Brgy. Council, Purok Officials, Tanods, BHW, and the Teachers headed by our Nabago Elementary School Principal Ma'am Nimfa Grace Bolandrina and unity of Nabagonians.

The Sangguniang Kabataan of Barangay Nabago, Surigao City joins the celeration headed by our SK Chairperson Hon. Rowil Plaza Tuquib, SK Treasurer Ms. Quenie Rich T.
