The LGU Gigaquit, led by Hon. Chandru T. Bonite and Municipal Vice Mayor Jennifer B. Bonite, together with municipal employees, conducted the traditional flag ceremony at the Municipal Gymnasium. The event was sponsored by the Commission on Election (COMELEC) Gigaquit, headed by Mr. Jimbonito Borja.

The event also marks the 3rd LGU Gigaquit Indigenous Peoples Month Celebration and will be held on October 29, 2024, at the Municipal Gymnasium.

The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Surigao del Norte, in partnership with the Gigaquit Municipal Public Employment Service Office (MPESO), conducted a TUPAD payout on October 24, 2024, at the Gigaquit Municipal Gymnasium.
This payout was funded by Hon. Robert Ace Barbers, Congressman of the 2nd District of Surigao del Norte.
