Starting 1 October 2025, Certificates of Eligibility will now be printed on the official letterhead of the Civil Service Commission (CSC), replacing the use of security paper.

The change aims to simplify the process, cut costs, and ensure document authenticity through the official CSC dry seal and authorized signatures.

This policy covers 11 types of special eligibility, namely:
• Barangay Health Worker (RA 7883)
• Barangay Nutrition Scholar (PD 1569)
• Barangay Official (RA 7160)
• Career Service Eligibility – Preference Rating
• Electronic Data Processing Specialist
• Foreign School Honor Graduate
• Honor Graduate (PD 907)
• Sanggunian Member (RA 10156)
• Scientific and Technological Specialist (PD 997)
• Skills Eligibility – Category II
• Veteran Preference Rating

: The City Government of Surigao marked the start of the 125th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary on September 3, 2025, with a fun 5KM Night Run.

Vice Mayor Alfonso Casurra, City HRMD Officer Hairee Cel S. Pedimonte, City Administrator Atty. Lex Silvosa, department heads, and employees from different offices joined the activity to promote health, unity, and service excellence.

The night was capped with a raffle draw, adding more excitement and camaraderie among participants.
