Agriculture Evolved | Turn-Over Ceremony of Rice Combine Harvester and 4WD Tractor

The Department of Agriculture successfully hand over the Combine Harvester and Tractor to the Tigbaon Agong-ongan Farmers Agriculture Cooperative and Mainit Upland Agriculture Cooperative. The said intervention helps to reduce labor intensive task, enhance crop yield and less time consuming to the beneficiaries.

The intervention has total worth of Php 3,360,000.00. With this optimizing agriculture mechanization through innovative technology, it will lead to the farmers productivity and efficiency. This will be contributing sustainable agriculture development and strengthen the farmers livelihoods and ensuring food security.

Present also and witnessed during activity was Municipal Mayor of Mainit Hon. Crisanta O. Mondano together to his OIC, Municipal Agriculturist Antonio C. Penaflor, OIC of APCO SDN Meche Mae G. Paina, RAED Engr. I Renan Abado from Provincial Agriculture Office Engr. Jeanie A. Quirequire.

𝐍𝐞𝐰𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐥𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐞 | DA-SAAD Caraga targets 10 more barangays from 7 municipalities in Surigao Del Norte, Dinagat Islands for program expansion

To help improve living conditions in rural communities, the Department of Agriculture - Special Area for Agricultural Development (DA-SAAD) Caraga conducted briefings in Surigao del Norte and Dinagat Islands, for the possible inclusion of 10 barangays from 7 municipalities in the program from 2026 to 2028.
