The Chamber of Mines of Caraga Region, Inc. participated in the 2nd Series of the Public Relations and Crisis Management Training on February 28 to March 3, 2023 at the Princesa Garden Island Resort and Spa in Puerto Princesa City, Palawan.

As part of the National Unified Information, Education and Communication Program (NUIECP), the training was spearheaded and attended by the Mines and Geosciences Bureau, the NUIECP National Steering Committee and the Philippine minerals industry.

The program started with the Welcome Remarks of Ms. Angelita Lee, Co-Chair of the NUIECP National Steering Committee. It was then followed by the Inspirational Message of the Chamber of Mines of the Philippines Executive Director and NUIECP National Steering Committee Chair, Atty. Ronald Recidoro.

Ms. Ma. Teresa Pacis, Assistant Vice President for Corporate Affairs and Communication of Apex Mining Corporation, facilitated the training which was composed of lectures, discussions, and workshops.

On March 1, the participants went on a tour of the abandoned mine site of Palawan Quicksilver Mines, Inc. in Barangay Sta. Lourdes, Puerto Princesa City to observe the ongoing rehabilitation efforts of the government.
