The Provincial Health Office (PHO) continues to provide essential health and nutrition services to the fire-affected families in Brgy. Nueva, Taft, Surigao City.

Among the services and assistance provided were:

โ€ข RUSF (Ready-to-Use Supplementary Food) for pregnant women and lactating mothers
โ€ข Distribution of toothpaste and toothbrushes
โ€ข Provision of jerry cans and Aqua Tabs for safe water
โ€ข Distribution of essential drugs and medicines
โ€ข Nutrition Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials and counseling
โ€ข Vitamin A supplementation for eligible children 6 months to 12 years old

These interventions aim to protect the health and nutritional well-being of affected families, especially vulnerable women and children, during this time of crisis.
