Please be informed that the NHCP Central Office & Museums will be 𝗖𝗟𝗢𝗦𝗘𝗗 on 𝟬𝟭 𝗠𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, Friday, 𝗟𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿 𝗗𝗮𝘆.

Museums undergoing rehabilitation will remain closed until further notice.

In line with Memorandum Circular No. 116, s. 2026, the NHCP Central Office in Manila and its Shrines & Museums across the country will 𝗰𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝟭𝟮:𝟬𝟬 𝗽.𝗺. 𝗼𝗻 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟭 𝗔𝗽𝗿𝗶𝗹 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 (𝗛𝗼𝗹𝘆 𝗪𝗲𝗱𝗻𝗲𝘀𝗱𝗮𝘆).

The NHCP Central Office will also adopt 𝑊𝑜𝑟𝑘-𝐹𝑟𝑜𝑚-𝐻𝑜𝑚𝑒 arrangements from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Regular operations will resume in accordance with previously issued advisories on our Holy Week Schedule.

IKA-77 NA ANIBERSARYO NG KAMATAYAN NI DR. GALICANO APACIBLE

Ngayong araw ay ginunita ang ika-77 anibersaryo ng kamatayan ni Galicano Apacible sa pamamagitan ng pag-aalay ng bulaklak sa kanyang busto sa Plaza Mabini, Balayan, Batangas.

Pinangunahan ni Punongbayan Lisa Ermita-Abad ang pag-aalay ng bulaklak kaninang umaga na kinatawanan ni Pangalawang Punongbayan Efren Chavez. Nag-alay din ng bulaklak ang Pambansang Komisyong Pangkasaysayan ng Pilipinas na kinatawanan ni G. Kristoffer Xeirem R. Medina ng Museo nina Leon at Galicano Apacible. Gayundin ang mga kaanak ni Apacible, mga Pambansang Pulisya ng Pilipinas-Balayan, Sandatahang Lakas ng Pilipinas, Philippine Coast Guard, at mga Mason.

Si Galicano Apacible ay isang propagandista, nagsilbi siyang pangulo ng La Solidaridad. Kinalaunan, nagsilbi naman siya bilang tagapangulo ng Comite Central Filipino sa Hong Kong na naging sentro ng mga gawaing rebolusyonaryo sa labas ng Pilipinas at pinagpunyagian ang pagkilala sa soberanya ng Pilipinas. Dahil dito, ipinadala siya bilang sugo sa iba’t ibang bansa.

Pagkatapos ng digmaang Pilipino-Amerikano, pumasok siya sa pulitika, naihalal bilang gobernador ng Batangas, at naging kinatawan sa Asembleya ng Pilipinas. Paglaon ay itinalaga naman siya bilang Kalihim ng Agrikultura at Likas na Yaman. Namatay siya noong ika-22 ng Marso 1949.

Regular operations of the NHCP Museums will resume on Saturday, 21 March 2026, while regular operations of the NHCP Central Office will resume on Monday, 23 March 2026.
