🌱 Brgy. Paraiso, San Jose, Tacloban City is grateful and inspired!

Last September 9, we proudly welcomed the Normalistas of BSEd Science and BS Biology from Leyte Normal University as they launched Program DISCIPLE (Doing Science for the People) right here in our community.

Through its four sub-initiatives PHILIPS (Environmental Conservation), PETER (Biotechnology Innovation), JAMES (Science Education), and BARTHOLOMEW (Community Health and Wellness) this extension project brings science closer to our doorsteps, addressing our environmental, sanitation, and health concerns hand in hand.

As Project Leader and BS BIO Program Head Facundo Rey Ladiao shared, the vision is holistic: helping our community grow not just in one area, but across environment, health, and sanitation because these are all connected.
The event was filled with meaningful project presentations, an engaging open forum, and a heartfelt commitment wall signing a symbol of our barangay's dedication to work hand-in-hand with LNU for a healthier, greener, and more empowered Brgy. Paraiso. 💚

To the Normalistas, LNU faculty, and everyone who made this possible maraming salamat! We look forward to more collaborations that uplift our community. 🙌
