PhilHealth Regional Office VIII presented its key accomplishments for the year, highlighting improved membership services, benefit utilization, and important updates on PhilHealth programs. The activity concluded with PhilHealth extending its appreciation to media partners for their steadfast support and collaboration, and their vital role in amplifying PhilHealth initiatives and strengthening public information efforts across the region.

PhilHealth Regional Office VIII, through the Public Affairs Unit, successfully hosted the 4th Quarter Meeting of the Association of Government Information Officers in Region 8 (AGIO-8) on December 4, 2025, at Hotel XYZ, Tacloban City.

As part of the program, PhilHealth Regional Office 8 conducted an orientation on the PhilHealth YAKAP, where participants received a comprehensive discussion on the latest PhilHealth benefits, policy updates, and initiatives aimed at strengthening access to quality healthcare.

The quarterly gathering also served as an important venue for government information officers to share agency updates, raise organizational concerns, and fortify inter-agency coordination in ensuring timely and accurate public information dissemination across Eastern Visayas.
