LOOK: Tacloban City Mayor Alfred S. Romualdez approves an ordinance increasing the minimum fare for MCH to P12 from P9.
Aside from the minimum fare adjustment, the ordinance signed last September 14 also indicates the right to fare discount of 20% for senior citizens, PWDs, and students under Section 4.
Motorcab drivers are to secure a fare matrix sticker that shall include a hotline number for complaints. Removal of the fare matrix is punishable with a fine of P1000 or cancellation of their franchise for successive violations. Drivers may also face a penalty worth P500 for non-compliance with the prescribed fare for MCH.
