PNP AT PCG, SINAGIP ANG TATLONG MENOR DE EDAD SA MALALAKAS NA ALON SA APARRI
Sa gitna ng malalakas na alon at bantang kapahamakan, tatlong kabataang inanod ng dagat ang nasagip mula sa tiyak na panganib—patunay na sa oras ng emergency, ang agarang aksyon ang nagliligtas ng buhay. Sa ilalim ng pamumuno ni PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., patuloy na ipinapakita ng Philippine National Police ang malasakit at kahandaan nito sa pagprotekta sa mamamayan.
Noong Abril 1, 2026 sa Aparri, Cagayan, mabilis na tumugon si Police Staff Sergeant Allan Ricardos ng Aparri Police Station kasama ang mga personnel ng Philippine Coast Guard nang tangayin ng alon ang tatlong menor de edad habang nagsu-surfing. Sa kabila ng delikadong sitwasyon sa karagatan, mabilis na kumilos ang mga rescuer upang mailigtas ang mga bata. Sa kanilang dedikasyon at pagsisikap, matagumpay na naiahon ang mga biktima at naibalik nang ligtas sa kanilang mga pamilya.
“This operation shows how important readiness and courage are in saving lives during critical moments,” pahayag ni PGEN Nartatez. “Hindi kami mag-aatubiling tumulong kapag may nalalagay sa panganib. Tungkulin naming siguraduhin ang kaligtasan ng bawat isa.”
Ang insidenteng ito ay sumasalamin sa patuloy na pagsasabuhay ng PNP Focused Agenda—isang direksyon ng pagbabago na naglalayong gawing mas makabuluhan at epektibo ang serbisyo ng kapulisan—kung saan nangingibabaw ang Enhanced Managing Police Operations bilang mahalagang sandigan sa mga ganitong sitwasyon. Sa pakikipagtulungan sa Philippine Coast Guard at sa suporta ng komunidad, mas napapalakas ang kakayahan ng mga awtoridad na tumugon sa mga insidente sa baybayin.
“Our personnel are always prepared to respond to emergencies and protect those in danger,” dagdag pa ni PGEN Nartatez. “Sa ganitong pagkakataon, mahalaga ang mabilis na aksyon para maiwasan ang mas malalang sitwasyon.”
Patuloy na pinaaalalahanan ng PNP ang publiko na maging maingat sa pagpunta sa mga baybayin at sumunod sa mga safety advisories, lalo na kung may banta ng malalakas na alon. Hinihikayat din ang agarang pakikipag-ugnayan sa mga awtoridad sa oras ng emerhensiya upang maiwasan ang kapahamakan.
Sa bawat pagliligtas ng buhay, pinagtitibay ng PNP ang pangako nitong magsilbi at magprotekta sa sambayanan tungo sa bisyong: “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong mabilis, tapat, at nararamdaman.”

805th MC, RMFB 8 Arrests of Other Wanted Person in Violation of RA 7610 (Child Abuse)
TACLOBAN CITY – The 805th Maneuver Company led by PMAJ TYRONE MARK A CARTALLA, Company Commander under the supervision of PLTCOL DIONESIO A MAESTRE JR, Officer-in-Charge of RMFB-8, resulted in the successful arrests of a wanted individual for Violation of RA 7610 (Child Abuse) in Brgy. Calaasan, Alang-alang, Leyte, on February 27, 2026.
The suspect was identified as “Boyong” alias, a male resident of Brgy. Calaasan, Alang-alang, Leyte. He was apprehended based on a warrant of arrest issued by the court on January 10, 2005. Bail has been recommended at Php. 80,000.00.
During the arrest, the suspect was informed of the charges against him and advised of his constitutional rights in a language he fully understood. He was subsequently brought to Alang-alang Municipal Police Station for documentation and processing, prior to being presented to the issuing court.
This operation was carried out in close coordination with Alang-alang Municipal Police Station under the supervision of PMAJ GODOFREED C ZANTUA, Chief of Police, together with PCPT ARBIE AGUSTIN, Operation Officer, and other Operatives of RMFB 8.
PMAJ CARTALLA stated, “This successful operation highlights the effectiveness of our collaborative efforts and the professionalism of our team. It demonstrates that dedication and teamwork produce tangible results.”

Former Rebel Member Voluntarily Surrenders to 805th MC, RMFB 8
TACLOBAN CITY - The 805th Maneuver Company, Regional Mobile Force Battalion 8, led by PMAJ TYRONE MARK A CARTALLA, Company Commander under the supervision of PLTCOL DIONESIO A MAESTRE JR, Officer-in-Charge, RMFB 8 successfully facilitated the voluntary surrender of a former rebel during the Major Combat Operation at Brgy. San Roque, Marabut, Samar, on February 21, 2026.
The surrenderee identified as "Ka Jun" a native of Brgy. San Roque, Marabut, Samar. Before his denouncement, he was a member Sub-Regional Committee, SESAME "APOY Plt", and was an active CNT member Regional Guerilla Unit (RGU) BANOG formerly headed by "Ka Adong", under the operational sphere of SECCOM South Samar 2 Sub Regional Committee ALPHINE operating in the area of Samar.
The Former Rebel (FR) expressed his realization that the revolution serves as a means for CTG leaders to secure financial backing from the public, particularly from prominent corporate entities. As a result of this awareness, he no longer wishes to endure the hardships within the rebel organization. Instead, he aspires to lead a peaceful and secure life, focused on providing for his family in a modest manner.
With the steadfast backing of this unit, the FR will now undergo the documentation process to avail the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-CLIP). Likewise, the subject surrendered one (1) unit Handgun Revolver and four (4) live ammunitions. Furthermore, he initially received financial assistance and food packs from this unit.
PMAJ CARTALLA commended the dedicated efforts of the staff in fighting against criminality in our nation, as well as the unwavering support from the community in reintegrating the former rebel into society and promoting positive change for the improvement of our nation.

The vehicle reportedly overturned, prompting our team to swiftly secure the area, assist the involved individuals, and coordinate with concerned agencies for proper medical attention and traffic management.

While conducting patrolling, personnel of this unit noticed a commotion involving a senior citizen who had unexpectedly fainted. Without hesitation, the responding personnel immediately rushed to the scene, assessed the condition of the elderly, and provided initial assistance.
Recognizing the urgency of the situation, they promptly transported the patient to Eastern Visayas Medical Center to ensure immediate medical attention and proper evaluation.
