KUTA KANKABATO, SAN JOSE, TACLOBAN CITYโ€“ The Leyte Police Provincial Office (LPPO), under the leadership of PCOL CELERINO M SACRO JR, Officer-In-Charge, intensified its campaign against wanted persons and successfully arrested 157 individuals through sustained manhunt operations conducted across the province from May 1 to 31, 2026.

The operations resulted in the arrest of 26 Most Wanted Persons (MWPs) and 131 Other Wanted Persons (OWPs), for a total of 157 wanted persons apprehended during the month. Among the arrested MWPs were one (1) Regional Most Wanted Person, thirteen (13) Provincial Most Wanted Persons, three (3) City Most Wanted Persons, and nine (9) Municipal Most Wanted Persons.

The accomplishment reflects the unwavering commitment of LPPO and its municipal and city police stations to locating and apprehending individuals with standing warrants of arrest, ensuring that they are brought before the courts to answer for their offenses.

๐Š๐”๐“๐€ ๐Š๐€๐๐Š๐€๐๐€๐“๐Ž, ๐’๐€๐ ๐‰๐Ž๐’๐„, ๐“๐€๐‚๐‹๐Ž๐๐€๐ ๐‚๐ˆ๐“๐˜ โ€” The Leyte Police Provincial Office (LPPO), under the leadership of PCOL CELERINO M SACRO JR, Officer-in-Charge, through its Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU) as lead unit, in coordination with La Paz Municipal Police Station led by PLT ACHILLES ORLANDO A AMARGO, Officer-in-Charge; 1st Leyte Provincial Mobile Force Company headed by PMAJ ROBIN JAMES BATE; Northern Leyte Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG); and Kamuning Police Station 10, Quezon City Police District, successfully arrested the Rank 4 District Level Most Wanted Person of the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) for the crimes of Murder and Attempted Murder during a law enforcement operation in Brgy. Sta. Elena, La Paz, Leyte.

Arrested was alias โ€œJeloy,โ€ 33 years old, a Lalamove driver, and presently residing in Brgy. Lubi-Lubi, La Paz, Leyte. The accused was apprehended by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest dated March 10, 2026, issued by the Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 225, Quezon City. The warrant stemmed from charges for Murder and Attempted Murder, with a recommended bail of Php120,000.00.

During the operation, the accused was informed of the nature of his arrest and apprised of his constitutional rights in a language he fully understood. He was subsequently brought to La Paz Municipal Police Station for documentation and proper disposition pending turnover to the court of origin.

In Brgy Lomonon, Palompon, Leyte, Palompon MPS personnel arrested alias โ€œBruno,โ€ 30 years old, and alias โ€œTroy,โ€ 54 years old, for Qualified Theft.

In Brgy Poblacion, Javier, Leyte, Javier MPS personnel arrested alias โ€œJay-r,โ€ 33 years old, alias โ€œBako,โ€ 25 years old, and alias โ€œDex,โ€ 25 years old, for violations of Municipal Ordinance No 2012-04 and Provincial Ordinance No 2011-02.

In Brgy Calbugos, Villaba, Leyte, Villaba MPS personnel arrested alias โ€œKobe,โ€ 33 years old, for Qualified Theft.

In Brgy Imelda, Tolosa, Leyte, Tolosa MPS personnel arrested alias โ€œRex,โ€ 31 years old, and alias โ€œJun-jun,โ€ 20 years old, for Violation of Section 93 of Republic Act No 10654.

In Brgy Western Poblacion, Hilongos, Leyte, Hilongos MPS personnel successfully served a warrant of arrest against alias โ€œAkta,โ€ 23 years old, and alias โ€œMarko,โ€ 35 years old, for Qualified Theft through coordinated tracker team operations.

In Brgy Highway, Dulag, Leyte, Dulag MPS personnel arrested alias โ€œBert,โ€ 28 years old, for Robbery.

All twelve (12) arrested individuals were informed of the nature of their arrest and apprised of their constitutional rights in a language known and understood by them. They are currently under the custody of their respective operating units for proper documentation and disposition prior to turnover to the courts of origin.

KUTA KANKABATO, SAN JOSE, TACLOBAN CITYโ€”The Leyte Police Provincial Office (LPPO), under the leadership of PCOL CELERINO M SACRO JR, Provincial Director, through the Jaro Municipal Police Station led by PMAJ RONALD A PUSO, Chief of Police, successfully arrested a Top 1 Regional Level Most Wanted Person charged with Three (3) Counts of R**e during a law enforcement operation conducted in the evening of June 1, 2026, in Brgy. Olotan, Jaro, Leyte.

The operation was led by the Jaro MPS, together with the Regional Intelligence Division 8, Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), 2nd Leyte Provincial Mobile Force Company (LPMFC), and the 805th Maneuver Company RMFB8.

Arrested was alias โ€œDondon,โ€ 36 years old, a tire man with live-in partner, and a resident of Brgy. Olotan, Jaro, Leyte. The accused was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest dated May 14, 2026, for the crime of Three (3) Counts of R**e, with no bail recommended.

During the operation, the accused was informed of the nature of his arrest and apprised of his constitutional rights in a language he knew and understood. He was subsequently brought to Jaro MPS for proper documentation and disposition prior to turnover to the court of origin.

Causwagan, MacArthur, Leyte.

Arrested was alias โ€œPilo,โ€ 40 years old, a resident of Purok Tulay, Brgy. San Isidro, Tagum City, Davao del Norte. He was apprehended by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest dated February 24, 2026, issued by the Family Court, Branch 2, Eleventh Judicial Region, Tagum City, Davao del Norte, for seven counts of Lascivious Conduct under Section 5(b) of RA 7610. Bail was recommended at Php200,000.00 for each count.

Following his arrest, the accused was informed of the nature of his arrest and apprised of his constitutional rights in a language he knew and understood. He was subsequently brought to Tagum City Police Station for documentation and proper disposition before being turned over to the court of origin.

KUTA KANKABATO, SAN JOSE, TACLOBAN CITYโ€”In line with the directive of the Chief, Philippine National Police (PNP), PGEN JOSE MELENCIO C NARTATEZ JR, to intensify the campaign against all forms of illegal gambling, the Police Regional Office 8 (PRO-8), under the leadership of PBGEN JASON L CAPOY, Regional Director, with the support of the Leyte Police Provincial Office (LPPO) led by PCOL CELERINO M SACRO JR, Provincial Director, successfully dismantled an illegal online cockfighting (e-sabong) operation in Hindang, Leyte on May 29, 2026.

The enforcement operation was spearheaded by PRO8โ€™s Regional Intelligence Division 8 (RID-8), Regional Special Enforcement Unit (RSEU), and Regional Anti-Cybercrime Unit 8 (RACU-8), with assistance from the Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU-LPPO), Hindang Municipal Police Station, and the 1st Leyte Provincial Mobile Force Company.

Arrested during the operation were alias โ€œWel,โ€ a barangay kagawad of Hindang, Leyte who served as pit referee; alias โ€œAnton,โ€ a cockpit operator from Hindang, Leyte; aliases โ€œBenโ€ and โ€œGino,โ€ derby promoters from Ormoc City; alias โ€œNathan,โ€ a pit referee from Hindang, Leyte; and aliases โ€œCarl,โ€ โ€œGarry,โ€ โ€œAriel,โ€ โ€œKurt,โ€ and โ€œWilly,โ€ IT technicians from various municipalities in Leyte.

Recovered from the suspects were ICT equipment used in facilitating the illegal e-sabong activities, including internet routers, a desktop computer server, a CCTV digital video recorder, and CCTV cameras connected to the online streaming platform.

The arrested suspects and recovered evidence were brought to Hindang MPS for proper documentation and filing of charges for Violation of Presidential Decree No. 1602, in relation to Executive Order No. 9 and Republic Act No. 10175, otherwise known as the Cybercrime Prevention Act of 2012.

PCOL SACRO commended all supporting units for their cooperation and professionalism. โ€œThis accomplishment demonstrates the strong collaboration between PRO8 and LPPO in suppressing illegal gambling activities. LPPO will continue to support regional operations to ensure peace, order, and public safety in Leyte,โ€ he said.

Quezon, MacArthur, Leyte, personnel of MacArthur MPS arrested two (2) suspects namely alias โ€œRyan,โ€ 30 years old, and alias โ€œCaloy,โ€ 51 years old, both residents of MacArthur, Leyte, by virtue of Warrant of Arrests for Violation of Presidential Decree No. 449, as amended by Presidential Decree No. 1602, and for Assault Upon an Agent of a Person in Authority issued by the Municipal Circuit Trial Court of MacArthur-Mayorga, Leyte.

Meanwhile, personnel of Mahaplag MPS arrested alias โ€œIndoy,โ€ 62 years old, a farmer and resident of Brgy. Union, Mahaplag, Leyte, by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for Violation of Presidential Decree No. 449, as amended by Presidential Decree No. 1602, issued by the Municipal Trial Court of Mahaplag, Leyte.

Likewise, in Brgy. Proteccion, Hilongos, Leyte, personnel of Hilongos MPS arrested alias โ€œWina,โ€ 59 years old, for Slander (Oral Defamation) under Article 358 of the Revised Penal Code by virtue of a warrant issued by the Municipal Trial Court of Hilongos, Leyte.

Meanwhile, in Palompon, Leyte, personnel of Palompon MPS arrested alias โ€œInok,โ€ 29 years old, by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest for Violation of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165 and Violation of Republic Act No. 10591, issued by the Regional Trial Court, Branch 17, Palompon, Leyte.

Likewise, in Tolosa, Leyte, personnel of Tolosa MPS arrested alias โ€œErson,โ€ 39 years old, by virtue of a Warrant of Arrest dated May 28, 2026, for Violation of Section 93 of Republic Act No. 10654, issued by the Municipal Trial Court of Tolosa, Leyte, with bail fixed at Php 4,000.00 for his temporary liberty.

The Leyte Police Provincial Office honored its outstanding police stations, units, and personnel during the Monday Flag-Raising Ceremony on June 1, 2026 at the LPPO Grounds, Kuta Kankabato, San Jose, Tacloban City.

Recognized as top performers for May 2026 were Baybay City Police Station, under PLTCOL DEXTER V EDILLO, as the Best City Police Station and Hilongos Municipal Police Station, led by PMAJ AMBROCIO V DEMAIN, as the Best Municipal Police Station.

For operational accomplishments for the period May 18-24, 2026, Bato MPS, under PMAJ RYAN C DELIMA, ranked Top 1, followed by Alangalang MPS, under PMAJ GODOFREED C ZANTUA, as Top 2, and Leyte MPS, under PCPT GREGORIO G WABINA, as Top 3.

KUTA KANKABATO, SAN JOSE, TACLOBAN CITYโ€”The Leyte Police Provincial Office (LPPO), under the leadership of PCOL CELERINO M SACRO JR, Provincial Director, through the Leyte Municipal Police Station, led by PCPT GREGORIO G WABINA JR, successfully arrested a Top 3 Regional Level Most Wanted Person charged with murder during a law enforcement operation conducted on the morning of June 1, 2026, in Brgy. Talostosan, Naval, Biliran.

The operation was led by the Leyte MPS, together with the Regional Intelligence Unit 8, Provincial Intelligence Unit (PIU), 2nd Leyte Provincial Mobile Force Company (LPMFC), Naval Municipal Police Station, and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group (CIDG) Biliran Provincial Field Unit.

Arrested was alias โ€œLito,โ€ 42 years old, a farmer and resident of Brgy. Palarao, Leyte, Leyte. The accused was apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest dated April 10, 2026, issued by the Acting Presiding Judge of the Regional Trial Court, Branch 13, Carigara, Leyte, with no bail recommended.

During the operation, the accused was informed of the nature of his arrest and apprised of his constitutional rights in a language he knew and understood. He was subsequently brought to Leyte MPS for proper documentation and disposition prior to turnover to the court of origin.

I commend all operating units for their professionalism and dedication in the successful implementation of this operation. We remain steadfast in upholding the rule of law and maintaining peace and order throughout the province,โ€ PCOL SACRO said.

The accomplishment highlights the LPPOโ€™s continuing efforts to track down wanted persons and strengthen public safety across the province, in line with the PNPโ€™s commitment to delivering โ€œSerbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.โ€
