546th Engineer Battalion, Philippine Army

Commander, Combat Engineer Regiment, Brigadier General Ricnon Uayan Carolasan PA, visited Headquarters 546th Engineer “Barrier Breakers” Battalion on December 04, 2025. It was notable moment for the unit as troops warmly welcomed the return of a leader who once guided and strengthened the Battalion during his tenure.

His visit served as a meaningful homecoming, allowing him to reconnect with the personnel and witness the ongoing development of the unit he once commanded. The engagement also reinforced the commitment of H546ECB to continue its mission with excellence and dedication.

The 8th Infantry Division (8ID) Press Corps, together with the Police Regional Office 8 (PRO8) Press Corps, will be conducting a joint bloodletting activity on November 29, 2025 at the City Engineer’s Conference Hall, Tacloban City. This activity will form part to our continued advocacy to support life-saving medical interventions for communities across Eastern Visayas. The collected blood will be given to the Philippine Red Cross-Leyte Chapter to augment their emergency blood supply.

The joint bloodletting activity carries great significance in strengthening camaraderie among media partners and security forces. Every unit of blood that will be donated is a lifeline that can give every patient in need of blood transfusion a fighting chance to live.
