A Face-to-Face Training on Improving Productivity Through Operations Management held on June 4, 2026 at the City Engineer's Office Conference Room, Calbayog City, was successfully conducted with the active participation of Human Resource Officers, Managers, Supervisors, and representatives from various MSMEs and organizations.
The training is FREE of charge, meals and snacks were provided by RTWPB VIII. The session focused on enhancing the operational efficiency and competitiveness of MSMEs through effective operations management, process improvement strategies, and the application of productivity-enhancing tools and technologies.
Participants gained valuable knowledge and practical insights on:
๐ฏ Explaining the concept and importance of operations management
๐ฏ Conducting demand and capacity planning for better resource utilization
๐ฏ Understanding and applying work improvement tools and techniques
๐ฏ Exploring digital tools and learning from productivity success stories
The activity also featured a discussion on the 2025 Annual Establishment Report on Wages (AERW), providing participants with important information on wage reporting requirements and compliance, as well as its role in supporting evidence-based labor and productivity policies.
Through engaging discussions and interactive learning sessions, participants were equipped with practical approaches to streamline operations, improve productivity, and strengthen their enterprises' capacity to compete in both local and global markets.

RTWPB VIII successfully conducted the Usapang 2Ps: Pasahod at Productivity and 7S of Good Housekeeping Training on 03 June 2026 at the 2nd Floor, Sumuroy Function Hall, Provincial Capitol of Northern Samar, Catarman, Northern Samar.
The activity emphasized the importance of the 7S methodology as a practical tool in improving workplace safety, quality, and productivity, helping participants create a more organized, efficient, and pleasant work environment.

In observance of Eid'l Adha, a regular holiday, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reminds all employers to comply with Holliday pay rules.
For employees, this ensures that they are properly compensated during holiday, entitling them to receive 100% of their daily wage even if they do not report for work, provided they are present or on approved leave with pay on the workday immediately preceding the holiday. Those who report to work on holiday are entitled to 200% of their regular daily wage.

The training emphasized the importance of Organization Development (OD) as a strategic and organization-wide approach to improving productivity, strengthening teamwork, enhancing communication, and fostering effective leadership and decision-making.
