Office of Research, Innovation, and Extension Services - EVSU

ORDEx serves as the nerve center for all academic research and development, and extension services.
The Office Research & Development, and Extension Services (ORDEx), as the name suggests, performs the two essential pillars of the four-fold functions of the University; the other two are instruction and production. The Research, Development and Extension (RDE) service center is under the stewardship of the University President through the Vice President for Research & Development and Extension Se
rvices (VP-RDEx). The VP for RDEx is joined by the Director for Research & Development and by the Extension Services Director serving as the operating managers, down the line to the respective Heads of RDE Clusters, the RDE Heads of the External Campuses, and RDE administrative (teaching and non-teaching) support staff and personnel. The Research, Development and Extension Council (RDEC), comprising of faculty researchers/extension scholars, students, the public and private agency partners, the private HEI’s and SUCs and other stakeholders, serves as the RDE academic community of EVSU. ORDEx staunchly affirms that all forms of development are basically intended for the holistic upliftment of human conditions. This arduous task is an integral part of nation building, vested primarily among private HEIs and SUCs, believed to be the main generator of knowledge development, professional and skilled manpower supplier of the country. EVSU shall sustain and spearhead the advancement of programs and projects in consort with its institutional co-makers and other partners (foreign or domestic) in evolving and providing the new/fresh knowledge and technology innovation (research), and the deployment of basic and advanced technical skills transfer or higher technological and professional training (extension) anchored along its specialized discipline for some meaningful deployment to empower viable stakeholders. The experiences generated in the series of crossing point activities will add more credence and confidence to the faculty and help enrich classroom teaching (instruction). In this never-ending practice, the academic interfacing cycle is complete. The inevitable charge inherent of the ORDEx as the RDE Center of EVSU therefore, is in the leadership of developing and nurturing a broad based RDE community of stakeholders whose shared-values, interests and passion of work are commensurate to the beliefs and undertakings of the EVSU ORDEx Centers. This community is comprised of the institutional stakeholders of EVSU (students, faculty & administrators, etc.) and the Institutional partners/co-makers who are multiple stakeholders (individuals, sectoral groups, and civic/civil organization/s juridical or legal persons, LGUs, NGOs etc.), forming the ORDEx communiversidad (community and university).Together they shall craft beneficial undertakings that are program/project based. The activities are thus, identified on the basis of the nature of institutional mandate/cooperation/collaboration and or mutual agreements/undertakings and some other important relationships with identified partners (HEIs, LGUs, INGOs, NGAs, Public and Private Organizations, etc.) forming a special linkage/partnership and networking arrangements.
