To Rev. Fr. Charles Vincent Wayne Avelino for facilitating the Lenten Recollection for Parents/Guardians of MCCI Beneficiaries;

To Ma’am Sagrario (Aying) Advincula for discussing the Responsible Parenthood;

To all benefactors, stakeholders, and duty-bearers, thank you for your unwavering support in protecting and uplifting these indigent children. Your commitment is vital to their human development, moral growth, and journey toward self-reliance as God-fearing individuals;

To MCCI staff: Sr. Mary Carmela Cabactulan, RSM our Project Director, Ma'am Leony Biore Villero, RSW (for discussing the Self-Assessment for Positive Parenting) and Mr. Marvs Lar Pobocan for their guidance, dedication to provide services all throughout the event; and

Above all to our Loving God, for His immeasurable blessings and guidance throughout the activity. We are grateful to Him in the name of Jesus Christ our Lord with the Holy Spirit through the intercession of the Blessed Mother of Mercy for giving us strength and wisdom that made this journey with the parents/guardians of these indigent children and youth remarkable.

The entire community of the Religious Sisters of Mercy - Philippines is deeply saddened by the passing of our dearly beloved Sister Marie Therese B. Pariña, RSM yesterday January 15, 2026 at around 6:52 PM. She is the first Filipino Sister of Mercy who had her Novitiate Formation in St. Marie's of the Isle, Cork City, Ireland. Sr. Marie as she was fondly called lived a life of faith, service and compassion, dedicating her time to the works of mercy. She was well loved by those she has served and worked with during her active involvement in the different RSM ministries. Her remains lie at the Convent Chapel of the Religious Sisters of Mercy, within Holy Infant College Campus at Benigno Aquino Avenue, Youngfield Tacloban City. Funeral Mass is set on January 20, 2026 at 8:00 o'clock in the morning at the Redemptorist Church. Interment follows at the RSM Mausoleum at Tacloban Catholic Cemetery Brgy. Diit Tacloban City. Please pray for the eternal repose of her soul and for strength and consolation to the members of the bereaved family and the RSM Community.
