Congratulations to the 1st Batch of Completers of the 2026 DTI Leyte Youth Entrepreneurship Program โ You Can Be Your Own Boss (YEP-BYOB)!
This milestone marks the beginning of your journey as empowered young entrepreneurs. May your passion and innovation drive you toward success!
26/05/2026
The DTI Leyte Provincial Office has successfully concluded the first batch of the 2026 Youth Entrepreneurship Program: Be Your Own Boss (YEP-BYOB), held from May 18 to 22, 2026 at the Ironwood Hotel in Tacloban City.
This group of graduates completed an intensive five-day curriculum that guided them through the entire entrepreneurial journey, starting with mindset and self-discovery, moving into design thinking and customer empathy, and covering the technicalities of business operations, financial management, and sustainable practices. A central highlight of the training was the deep dive into the Business Model Canvas, which allowed the participants to strategically map out and refine their business ideas into viable, structured ventures.
The week reached its climax during the final business pitching session, where the young entrepreneurs presented their refined business models before a distinguished panel of experts, including the OIC-BDD Chief of DTI Leyte, representative from Small Business Corporation, and a seasoned local entrepreneur whose success serves as an inspiration and provided a bridge between theory and real-world business application.
As these graduates step forward to launch their own enterprises, they embody the program's mission to empower the next generation of business owners with the strategic tools and confidence to truly be their own bosses.
The future of Leyteโs economy is in capable hands. Congratulations to the first batch of 2026 DTI Leyte YEP-BYOB Graduates!
