Tourist Police Unit (TPU) personnel, under the direct supervision of PMAJ JUAN ELIEZER A ABELLON, Chief TPU, assisted a group of senior citizens from Manila and conducted an information dissemination about tourist destinations in Tacloban City, including the distribution of flyers.

This activity aims to promote featured tourist spots, provide accurate and helpful information to visitors, enhance their travel experience, and encourage repeat visits and positive recommendations.

The on-duty TPU personnel remained alert and ready to extend further assistance, ensuring the safety and security of the tourists as they explored various destinations around Tacloban City.

Bike patrollers actively monitored key streets, public markets, terminals, business establishments, and pedestrian areas where high foot traffic was observed, particularly during peak business hours.

“PNP GOOD DEEDS”

TPU personnel, under the direct supervision of PMAJ JUAN ELIEZER A ABELLON, Chief TPU, rendered assistance to a motorist whose vehicle suddenly broke down due to an engine failure. To help restore the vehicle's mobility and prevent traffic obstruction, TPU bikers promptly responded by inspecting the vehicle, reconnecting the battery terminals, and assisting in pushing the vehicle to a safe location along the roadside. Through their quick action, coordination and teamwork, the vehicle's engine was successfully restarted, allowing the motorist to safely continue the journey. The motorist expressed gratitude for the timely assistance provided, which helped minimize inconvenience and ensured the smooth flow of traffic in the area.

The incident highlights the TPU bikers' commitment to public service, road safety and community assistance. Their prompt response and willingness to extend help to motorists in distress demonstrate their dedication to ensuring the safety and convenience of the traveling public.
