🚨 IMPORTANT PARENT ADVISORY: ENHANCED CAMPUS SECURITY PROTOCOLS 🚨
Dear Parents and Guardians of Taft National High School,
Our hearts go out to those affected by today's tragic event in Tacloban City. In response, Taft National High School remains fully dedicated to maintaining a secure, supportive, and safe environment where our students' well-being always comes first.
🛡️ IMPLEMENTATION OF STRICTER SECURITY MEASURES
To further fortify our campus and ensure a safe learning environment, our school will strictly implement the following enhanced security protocols starting tomorrow, June 23, 2026:
1. MANDATORY BAG SUBMISSION TO METAL DETECTOR TEST: All students, personnel, and visitors must submit their bags and backpacks for a mandatory metal detector scan by our security team before entering the school gates.
2. RANDOM PERSON FRISKING: Trained school security personnel will conduct routine, random physical frisking at the entrance and within the campus grounds.
⚠️ Note: Please be assured that all inspections and frisking procedures will be conducted in a highly respectful, professional, and orderly manner, with the utmost regard for the dignity, privacy, and rights of our learners.
🤝 A SHARED RESPONSIBILITY: HOW PARENTS CAN HELP
We earnestly seek your full cooperation and partnership during this time. We highly encourage parents and guardians to:
1. INSPECT BAGS AT HOME: Regularly check your children's school bags before they leave for school to ensure they do not bring any prohibited, dangerous, or unnecessary items.
2. OPEN COMMUNICATION: Talk to your children about their emotional well-being. Listen to their concerns, guide their behavior at home, and help them process today's events with a sense of security and responsibility.
Let us work together to keep our school a safe, orderly, and nurturing environment for everyone.
Thank you for your support and understanding.
