Olivarez College–Tagaytay, Inc., through the Learning Resource Center (LRC), participated in the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) 2026 last September 9, 2026, together with members of the Academic Community for book selection and acquisition.

The activity was headed by Dr. Jean Rizza A. Dela Cruz, Assistant Vice President for Academic and Services, together with Ms. Arline Dela Cruz, Associate Library Director, Learning Resource Center (LRC).

The MIBF visit provided an opportunity for the college's academic community to explore newly published titles, evaluate relevant academic resources, and select books aligned with the learning, teaching, and research needs of various academic programs.

Through collaborative book selection, Olivarez College–Tagaytay continues its commitment to developing a relevant, updated, and responsive library collection that supports the academic community.

BOOK & TOY DRIVE 2026

“Give a Book. Share a Toy. Bring a Smile.” ❤️

The Learning Resource Center (LRC) is organizing the Book and Toy Drive 2026 to bring joy, learning, and the love of reading to the children of San Jose, ages 3–7 years old.

Through this initiative, we aim to encourage children to discover the joy of reading through storybooks, while also giving them toys that can bring happiness, creativity, and meaningful play.

We are inviting students, faculty, staff, and members of the community to share their blessings by donating:

📖 CHILDREN’S STORYBOOKS

Clean and in good, usable condition
Appropriate for children ages 3–7
Published within the last 5 years are preferred

🧸 TOYS FOR CHILDREN

Clean and safe for children
In good and usable condition
Appropriate for ages 3–7

📅 DONATION CAMPAIGN: September–November 2026
📍 DROP-OFF LOCATION: Olivarez College Tagaytay-Learning Resource Center (LRC)
🎄 DISTRIBUTION: December 2026

Every book can inspire a child to read, imagine, and learn, while every toy can bring happiness, creativity, and fun.
