GSIS Bohol Holds Orientation on Seal of Protection Awards for LGUs

Representatives from fifteen (15) Local Government Units (LGUs) under the jurisdiction of the GSIS Bohol Branch Office gathered at the Branch Conference Room for an orientation and coordination meeting on the GSIS Seal of Protection Awards.

During the activity, Branch Manager Igmidio F. Ponay, FSD Officer I Maricel R. Caga, and Special Business Unit personnel Geil F. Lepiten and Elwell P. Sobrio presented the objectives, guidelines, qualification requirements, application process, and documentary requirements of the program. Various Non-Life Insurance products were likewise introduced to help LGUs strengthen the protection of government properties and assets through comprehensive insurance coverage, while enhancing their eligibility for future recognition under the program.

The GSIS Seal of Protection Awards is a national recognition program that honors LGUs demonstrating excellence in protecting public assets, promoting good governance, and strengthening financial resilience. The program recognizes agencies that go beyond compliance with Republic Act No. 656 by adopting proactive risk management practices and ensuring adequate insurance coverage for government-owned properties.
