Tingog sa Kabatan-onan is back with another exciting edition of the Sandugo Tigi Special! Today, we are turning up the rhythm and elegance as we shine the spotlight on the highly anticipated Second Sandugo National Invitational Dance Sport Competition! 💃🏽🕺🏽✨

Happening this August 8-9, 2026, at the Bohol Cultural Center, this spectacular national event organized by the Bohol Association of Dance Instructors, Inc. (BADI) is set to bring together the finest dancesport athletes from all over the country. We will dive deep into the grand preparations, the dedication behind the artistry, and how dancesport builds grace, discipline, and competitive excellence among our grassroots youth.

Joining us live in the studio are representatives from BADI to give us all the official updates, registration details, and exclusive insights into this massive event!

PYDO HEAD DELIVERS COMMENCEMENT ADDRESS IN EVSU-CC

Metodio “Kuya John” Maraguinot Jr., Supervising Administrative Officer of the Office of the Governor and Head of the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), served as Commencement Speaker at the 47th Commencement Exercises of the Eastern Visayas State University – Carigara Campus (EVSU-CC).

The ceremony was held at the Jaro Sports Complex Center, Jaro, Leyte, on Tuesday, June 16, 2026.

The graduation ceremony honored the members of "Batch Sinirangan 2026". Kuya John challenged the graduates to become active contributors to nation-building by maximizing their professional skills and sustaining productive efforts.

"Be the builders. Be the innovators. Be the ultimate healers. Be the voice for those who are silenced, and the strength for those who have fallen behind. Remember, ‘fortis fortuna adiuvat’ - fortune favors the bold. Humayo kayo at maglingkod. Patunayan ninyo ang galing, husay, at puso ng isang taga-EVSU.”, Kuya John said as he capped off his message.

Eastern Visayas State University (EVSU) is recognized as one of the top Higher Education Institutions in the Eastern Visayas region and is widely known for its strong Engineering, Technology, and Education programs. Its Carigara Campus is noted for its strong industry immersion programs and technical training, as well as its proactive strategic roadmap focused on climate resiliency.

This engagement underscores the commitment of the Provincial Government of Bohol to fostering strong, collaborative ties with educational institutions across the country, recognizing that youth development transcends geographical boundaries.

By positioning the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO) at the forefront of regional academic discourse, the Provincial Government highlights its dedication to youth empowerment and knowledge exchange.

SECOND BOHOL ASSOCIATION OF SPORTS DEVELOPMENT OFFICERS (BASDO) QUARTERLY MEETING 🤝

The Bohol Association of Sports Development Officers (BASDO) and the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO) convened on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the Provincial Capitol Ceremonial Hall to strengthen collaboration and advance sports development initiatives across the province.

Local Sports Development Officers (LSDOs) from across the province came together to discuss key milestones, including the successful conduct of the 2026 Boholympics, the ongoing HANAS (Harnessing New and Advanced Sports Skills) Sports Clinic, preparations for the highly anticipated Governor’s Cup Volleyball Season 2, and the upcoming Sandugo “Tigi” Sports Events slated for July and August. The forum also provided an avenue to address the concerns of LSDOs, ensuring the efficient, inclusive, and holistic implementation of the Provincial Government’s sports programs.

The meeting was facilitated by PYDO Sports Development Section Head, Gelvi John Bongato, and PYDO Executive Support Section Head, Melvin Salinasal.

This undertaking is bannered under the BOLA Program (Boosting Localization and Acceleration) of the Provincial Youth Development Office (PYDO), under the Provincial Government of Bohol, led by Governor Aris Aumentado. This program is designed to promote sports governance and assist Municipal Local Government Units (MLGUs) in advancing sports accessibility, strengthening coordination, and sports development across the province.
