On April 27, 2026, at JJs Seafood Village Tagbilaran City, the Department of Trade and Industry โ€“ Bohol, through the Negosyo Center โ€“ Bohol Business One Stop Shop, in partnership with the Bohol Economic Development and Investment Promotion Office, successfully conducted the โ€œPicture to Profit: Photography and Design Marketing for MSMEs.โ€

The activity equipped local entrepreneurs with practical knowledge on product photography, caption writing, design, and photo editingโ€”helping them create compelling content and strengthen their online presence.

On March 23, 2026, the DTI-Bohol Provincial Office through the Negosyo Center Bohol BOSS, in partnership with the Municipality of Baclayon, conducted a Bamboo Weavers Consultation and Needs Assessment Workshop with the talented weavers of Tanday, Baclayon, Bohol.

Through innovative design insights and meaningful discussions, the DTI-Bohol Product Development Designer, Ms. Ann Riesan Pilayre, led a session introducing various product designs that can be developed into marketable decor items. Meanwhile, DTI-Bohol Bamboo Focal Person Mr. Carlo Roaldo Escobilla facilitated the Focus Group Discussion, guiding participants in identifying key interventions to further strengthen the local weaving community.

This initiative reflects DTI-Boholโ€™s continued commitment to empowering local artisans and promoting sustainable livelihoods. Together, we weave not just bambooโ€”but a brighter future for Boholโ€™s creative communities. ๐Ÿ’š
