The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) reminds employers to observe the proper pay rules for employees reporting for work on declared holidays and special non-working days this April as it issued Labor Advisory No. 5, Series of 2026.

Aligned with President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr.’s directives to uphold workers’ rights and welfare, the issuance guaranteed workers of their rightful wages for regular holidays on April 2 (Maundy Thursday), April 3 (Good Friday), and April 9 (Araw ng Kagitingan), and for the special (non-working) on April 4 (Black Saturday), pursuant to Proclamation No. 1006, Series of 2025.

The Bohol Tripartite Industrial Peace Council Inc, in coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment – Bohol Field Office, warmly invites all companies and establishments to participate in the 1st Learning Session for the year 2026.

We especially encourage the attendance of Human Resource Managers, Company Union Officers, Supervisors, Business Owners, and Management Representatives to take part in this meaningful and informative session. This activity aims to strengthen industrial harmony, promote better labor-management relations, and provide updates on relevant labor policies and best practices.

Today marks another meaningful step forward in strengthening industrial peace and social partnership in Bohol.

The visit of the Bohol Tripartite Industrial Peace Council, Inc., led by Vice Chair for the Management Sector Mr. Leo Plazos Jr., in close coordination with the Department of Labor and Employment – Bohol Field Office headed by Atty. Diego Amado Nochefranca III, reflects our shared commitment to dialogue, cooperation, and inclusive growth.

With the dedication of our Focal Person and Dole Staff Ms. Jannah “Jovy” Avenido, Ms. Eda, and Ms. Ariane, the submission of the Bohol TIPC Budget Proposal at the Provincial Capitol in Tagbilaran City symbolizes our collective resolve to sustain programs and activities that uphold workers’ welfare, responsible management, and harmonious labor relations.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Ma’am Mary Ann G. Jabines, Senior Administrative Assistant and Head of G.O.
