FAKE NEWS ang Facebook post ng nagngangalang “𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐳𝐚 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐞” na nagsasabing tuloy ang Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) sa Disyembre 2026 at magsisimula ang paghahain ng Certificate of Candidacy (COC) sa Lunes, Oktubre 26, 2026.

The Office of the Election Officer (OEO), Tagbina, conducted voter education and voter certificate issuance during the celebration of the 29th Indigenous Peoples Month and IPRA Commemoration on October 21, 2026, at Barangay Villaverde, Tagbina, Surigao del Sur.

Our sincere thanks to Municipal IPMR Hawodon Nelbert Sahay and the LGU of Tagbina for inviting our office to take part in this meaningful celebration.

Tandaan:

✅ Nilagdaan na ni Pangulong Ferdinand R. Marcos, Jr. ang Republic Act No. 12326, na nagtakda ng limang (5) taong termino para sa mga opisyal ng Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan.

✅ Alinsunod sa batas, ang susunod na Barangay at Sangguniang Kabataan Elections (BSKE) ay nakatakdang idaos sa Nobyembre 13, 2028.

✅ Dahil dito, hindi na itutuloy ang BSKE na dating nakatakda sa Nobyembre 2, 2026.

✅ Sa kasalukuyan, nananatiling epektibo ang RA No. 12326 dahil wala pang inilalabas na Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) ang Korte Suprema na pansamantalang magpapahinto sa pagpapatupad nito.
