𝐃𝐎𝐒𝐓-𝐍𝐂𝐑 𝐒𝐡𝐨𝐰𝐜𝐚𝐬𝐞𝐬 𝐌𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬, 𝐂𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐬 𝐍𝐞𝐱𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐓𝐈 𝐢𝐧 𝐍𝐂𝐑
Engr. Sancho A. Mabborang, Undersecretary for Regional Operations, presides over the DOST-NCR 2024–2025 Performance Review currently taking place today, April 13, 2026, in Alabang, Muntinlupa.
The review highlights the agency’s key accomplishments for 2024–2025, including major programs, physical and financial performance, and best practices across the region. DOST-NCR Regional Director Engr. Romelen T. Tresvalles, together with DOST-NCR personnel, presents the regional profile, milestone achievements, and strategic directions to further strengthen science, technology, and innovation (STI) initiatives in the coming years.
Also present during the review are DOST MIMAROPA Regional Director Dr. Bernardo N. Sepeda, Planning and Evaluation Service Director Cezar R. Pedraza, Financial and Management Service Director Raquel P. Alvendia, Internal Audit Service Officer-in-Charge Mr. Robert Paolo T. Lumbatan, and Special Projects Division Project Development Officer IV Mr. Elmer G. Pandanan.
Through this review, DOST-NCR reaffirms its commitment to continuous improvement, results-driven governance, and the impactful delivery of S&T services for communities and industries across Metro Manila.

ADVISORY ❗

In line with the observance of the Lenten Season, the DOST-NCR Regional Office and its Clustered Area S&T Offices shall be closed on April 2, 2026 (Maundy Thursday) and April 3, 2026 (Good Friday).

Furthermore, in accordance with the Memorandum Circular No. 116 issued by the Office of the President dated March 31, 2026, the office operations on April 1, 2026 (Wednesday) will be until 12:00 noon only (half-day).

Regular operations will resume on Monday, April 6, 2026.

The Department of Science and Technology – National Capital Region (DOST-NCR), including its Clustered Area Science and Technology Offices in CAMANAVA, MUNTAPARLAS, PAMAMAZON, and PAMAMARISAN, successfully maintained its ISO 9001:2015 certification recommendation with zero nonconformities during the two-day Surveillance Audit conducted on February 25–26, 2026.
The ISO 9001:2015 Surveillance Audit serves as a formal assessment of an agency’s Quality Management System, ensuring that established standards continue to be effectively implemented and sustained.
This is a testament that DOST-NCR continuously strengthens public confidence in its systems and reinforces its dedication to excellence in public service.

Nagsagawa ang DOST-NCR PAMAMAZON CASTO ng training sa Food Safety para sa mga kasapi ng grupong Samahan ng Mangangarap (SAMANGANGARAP), na binubuo ng mga kababaihang gumagawa ng mga produktong tulad ng lemongrass, turmeric, ginger tea, at powdered rice coffee. Ginanap ang pagsasanay noong ika-6 ng Pebrero 2026 sa Lupang Pangako, Barangay Payatas, Lungsod ng Quezon.
Layunin ng training na ito na higit pang mapalawak ang kaalaman ng mga miyembro ng samahan sa mga alituntunin ng food safety at nang sa gayo’y maging mas mahusay pa at competitive ang kanilang mga produkto sa merkado. Sa ilalim ng programang Community Empowerment through Science and Technology (CEST) ng DOST-NCR ay natulungan rin ang samahan upang ma-upgrade ang kanilang production equipment.

Topics during the 𝟏𝐬𝐭 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐇𝐮𝐦𝐚𝐧 𝐖𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐠 by ensuring public practices on basic concepts of food safety such as food safety hazards, food hygiene and good manufacturing practices​

Topics during the 𝟐𝐧𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐫𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐑𝐞𝐢𝐧𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐖𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧. We will highlight mitigation steps to avoid contamination of food through standard operating procedures such as SSOPs, HACCP and process mapping.​
