Due to the prevailing Southwest Monsoon (Habagat), which is expected to bring light to moderate rains, at times heavy, and strong wind gusts in Metro Manila tomorrow, classes at ALL LEVELS in both public and private schools in Taguig City are suspended on Friday, August 28, 2026.

All affected classes shall shift to modular or other alternative learning modalities

Residents are advised to continue monitoring official weather advisories and to take the necessary precautions.

School Safety Preparedness Simulation
Para sa: Mga Mag-aaral, Magulang, G**o, Kawani, at Iba pang Stakeholders
Ang Sen. Renato “Compañero” Cayetano Memorial Science and Technology High School ay magsasagawa ng isang School Safety Preparedness Simulation sa Martes, Agosto 25, 2026, sa ganap na ika-9 ng umaga.
Ang aktibidad ay bahagi ng paghahanda ng paaralan para sa Nationwide Simultaneous School Safety Drill for Active Attack Incidents, alinsunod sa mga panuntunan at gabay na inilabas ng Kagawaran ng Edukasyon(DepEd).
Layunin ng Aktibidad
Isinasagawa ang simulation upang masanay ang buong school community sa tamang pagkilos kapag may emergency o banta sa kaligtasan. Layunin nitong:
• mapalawak ang kaalaman tungkol sa mga safety protocol;
• malinang ang kahandaan at mabilis na pagtugon sa oras ng emergency;
• matiyak ang maayos na koordinasyon ng mga mag-aaral, g**o, at kawani; at
• mapanatili ang kaligtasan at kaayusan sa loob ng paaralan.
MAHALAGANG PAALALA
Ang aktibidad ay simulation lamang at hindi aktuwal na insidente. Hinihiling sa lahat na manatiling kalmado at sundin ang mga tagubilin ng mga g**o, school personnel, at mga awtoridad na mangunguna sa pagsasanay.
Ang bawat kalahok ay inaasahang makikiisa nang maayos, responsable, at may paggalang sa layunin ng gawain. Iwasan ang anumang kilos o biro na maaaring magdulot ng hindi kinakailangang pangamba sa ibang miyembro ng school community.
Maraming salamat sa inyong pang-unawa, pakikiisa, at patuloy na suporta sa mga programang naglalayong mapanatiling ligtas ang ating paaralan.
Manatiling alerto. Manatiling kalmado. Unahin ang kaligtasan.

ALTERNATIVE WORK ARRANGEMENTS FOR GOVERNMENT OFFICES, ALTERNATIVE LEARNING MODES FOR SCHOOLS ON AUGUST 20

Pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 131, government offices are directed to implement appropriate alternative work arrangements in the National Capital Region and the following provinces on August 20, 2026:

📍 National Capital Region (NCR)
📍 Abra
📍 Benguet
📍 Ilocos Norte
📍 Ilocos Sur
📍 La Union
📍 Pangasinan
📍 Bataan
📍 Bulacan
📍 Nueva Ecija
📍 Pampanga
📍 Tarlac
📍 Zambales
📍 Batangas
📍 Cavite
📍 Laguna
📍 Rizal
📍 Occidental Mindoro

Unless otherwise directed by their respective Local Chief Executives, alternative learning modes for classes and learning continuity measures at all levels in public and private schools shall be implemented in the aforementioned areas.

Agencies involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness and response, and other vital services shall continue their operations and render the necessary services.

Contract of Service (COS) and Job Order (JO) workers placed under alternative work arrangements shall be paid their corresponding wages or salaries, subject to applicable rules and regulations.

The suspension of work or adoption of alternative work arrangements in the private sector shall be left to the discretion of management.
