In support of the City Government of Taguigโs celebration of National Womenโs Month 2026, graduates and participants of the Taguig Manpower Training and Assessment Center (TMTC) are showcasing their products every Friday of March at the Taguig City Hall Quadrangle.
National Womenโs Month, observed every March, recognizes womenโs continuing fight for equality and liberation while raising awareness of gender-related challenges and the importance of empowering women in society.
As part of the cityโs activities, TMTC collaborated with the local government to provide its graduates with an opportunity to introduce and promote products they learned to create during their training.
Among the participants are three graduates of the Bread and Pastry Production NC II program, two graduates of the Barista NC II program, and two participants from the community-based training program who have since become business owners. They are joined by other participants from various LGU offices, including the Taguig City Cooperative.
Residents and employees may visit the booths from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every Friday of March at the Taguig City Hall Quadrangle.
The initiative highlights how skills training and support from the local government can open new opportunities for women and aspiring entrepreneurs to start their own businesses and build a better future for themselves and their families.

Skills training and livelihood programs in Taguig received additional support after the Technical Education and Skills Development AuthorityโNational Capital Region (TESDA-NCR) donated 255 training toolkits during the signing of a Deed of Donation and Acceptance on February 16 at the Taguig Manpower Training and Assessment Center (TMTC) in Barangay Lower Bicutan.
The donated toolkits, formally turned over to the City through TMTC, are expected to enhance Taguigโs community-based technical education programs and expand access to skills training for residents.
Mayor Lani Cayetano and TESDA-NCR Regional Director Angelina Carreon led the ceremonial signing, which aims to equip more Taguigeรฑos with practical skills that can open doors to employment and livelihood opportunities.
The toolkits include materials for solar night light and post lamp assembly, Electrical Installation and Maintenance NC II, cake making, bread making, and pastry making.
In her message, Carreon emphasized the broader impact of the donation on community empowerment:
โBy entrusting these toolkits to the City of Taguig, we are not simply transferring equipmentโwe are transferring capacity, responsibility, and opportunity. This enables the LGU to expand community-based training programs, support grassroots livelihood initiatives, strengthen local enterprise development, and accelerate job creation at the city level."
TMTC was recently recognized as the first LGU-run TESDA Training and Assessment Center in the cityโs MUNTIPARLAS-TaPat District and the first Handloom Weaving Center in the National Capital Region. Now officially TESDA-accredited, the center is authorized to issue National Certificates to its trainees, further strengthening its role in providing quality, industry-recognized skills training.
Carreon also expressed confidence in the cityโs leadership:
โWith the strong leadership of Mayor Lani Cayetano and the proven commitment of the City of Taguig to inclusive growth, we are confident that these devolved training resources will be maximizedโreaching more communities, creating more livelihoods, and ensuring that no toolkit, no skill, and no opportunity goes to waste."
Mayor Lani, for her part, highlighted the cityโs continued growth and shared responsibility in uplifting families:
โTo the City of Taguig, to our familyโkahit na malaki na at malayo na ang narating natin, patuloy pa rin tayong lumalago and striving for greater heights; and with every step forward, we continue to expand opportunities for our kababayanโbecause these programs are not just equipment, but symbols of hope, added skills, and real pathways toward more jobs, stronger livelihoods, and a brighter future for every Taguigeรฑo family."
