IN THE NAVY | 351 young men and women hurdle Sailor Basic Course, formally enlisted in the AFP's regular force
The Philippine Navy's premier training institution, the Naval Education, Training and Doctrine Command, carries out the graduation exercises for the 351-strong members of Sailor Basic Course (SBC) “MASIKTATAG” Classes 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 who successfully completed their course and graduate as at Naval Station Leovigildo Gantioqui in San Antonio, .
As a reflection of their class name, which stands for “Magigiting na Mandaragat na Sumisimbolo sa Kahusayan at Katapangan na Magtatangol sa Bayan” these brave, young men and women gladly took the challenge and are now ready to serve the nation as the newest additions to the PH .
In the presence of their families, friends and loved ones, the graduates recieved their certificates of completion and were formally enlisted in the Regular Force of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
Recognized for their excellent performance throughout the 6-month course are the following students who finished at the top of their respective classes:

IN THE NAVY | Advanced naval graduates undergo deliberation for probationary officer training
The Philippine Navy, through Navy Personnel Management Center (NPMC), carried out a deliberation for the Naval Probationary Officer Training Course (NPOTC) applicants program on December 27 at the Naval Station Jose Francisco in City.
A total of 33 applicants, comprised of 11 females and 22 males who were graduates of Advanced Naval Reserve Officer Training Course (NROTC), were deliberated. The selected applicants from this batch will compose the first class for the NPOTC.
The NPOTC is a stepping stone for baccalaureate degree holders who have completed the Naval Science 42 and possess the competencies needed by the PH to become naval officers.

OF DETERMINATION AND SACRIFICE l PH 's premier training institution carries out Open Collar Ceremony for Sailor Basic Course classes 16 to 21
The Sailor Basic School of the Naval Education, Training and Doctrine Command conducts the Open Collar Ceremony of Sailor Basic Course "MASIK TATAG" Classes 16, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 at Naval Station Leovigildo Gantioqui in San Antonio, .
The ceremony exemplifies and recognizes the grit, sacrifice and determination that each student exerted to be able to reach this point in their training as Sailor Candidates. It also denotes the basic skills and competencies they have acquired to become future of the Philippine Navy.

This year marks the 159th birth anniversary of G*t Andres Bonifacio, known in history as the "Father of the Philippine Revolution". He was born on November 30, 1863, in a small hut on Calle Azcarraga, presently known as Claro M. Recto Avenue in Tondo, Manila.
