161 scholars from Passi Trade School finished their various training courses under the Special Training for Employment Program (STEP) and Training for Work Scholarship Program (TWSP), marking another step in their journey toward gainful employment, enhanced skills, and better livelihood opportunities for themselves and their communities.
Graduates completed qualifications in Bread and Pastry Production NC II, Driving NC II, and Early Childhood Care and Development Services NC III, with successful scholars also receiving starter toolkits to help them immediately begin their careers, livelihood, or entrepreneurial journey.
From training to trabaho, the future looks brighter and more skilled than ever.

From skills training to global certification 🇵🇭🌍
TESDA, in partnership with the Philippine Embassy and the Migrant Workers Office in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, brought again its Overseas Assessment Program closer to overseas Filipino workers (OFWs).
Through this initiative, OFWs are allowed to undergo skills assessment and earn nationally recognized TESDA certifications that can help strengthen their professional credentials and open more career opportunities abroad.
Featured qualifications for assessment include:

TESDA, led by Secretary Kiko Benitez, formally inked partnerships with key institutions and industry partners through a mass ceremonial signing of Memoranda of Agreement (MOAs) and Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs), underscoring the vital role of collaboration in strengthening the country’s technical-vocational education and training sector.
Among the partnerships signed were agreements with Bayo Manila Inc. for sustainability and Circular Economy-aligned training initiatives, and with Pampamilyang Paaralang Agrikultura Foundation Inc. for the implementation of Dual Agritech programs focused on digital agriculture and agri-entrepreneurship.
TESDA also strengthened collaboration with the Mindanao Development Authority to support human capital development and lifelong learning initiatives in Mindanao and BIMP-EAGA, while partnering with inDrive through RL Soft Corporation to enhance skills development programs for workers in the transport network vehicle services (TNVS) sector.
These partnerships support the Training to Trabaho vision of the President by expanding accessible and future-ready training opportunities that open more pathways to employment, livelihood, and lifelong learning for Filipinos nationwide.

TESDA Secretary Kiko Benitez, together with officials of other attached agencies of the Department of Labor and Employment - DOLE, paid a courtesy call to newly appointed Labor Secretary Francis Tolentino at the DOLE Central Office in Intramuros, Manila.
The meeting highlighted the shared commitment of DOLE and its attached agencies to strengthen collaboration in advancing skills development, expanding employment opportunities, and ensuring workforce readiness amid evolving industry demands.
As an attached agency of DOLE, TESDA looks forward to stronger coordination with Secretary Tolentino in delivering accessible, inclusive, and industry-responsive training programs for Filipino workers.

TESDA marks historic Philippine participation in 2026 Yeongdo Global Coffee Festival
TESDA Benguet proudly marked the Philippines’ historic first participation in the 2026 Yeongdo Global Coffee Festival, showcasing not only Filipino skills and craftsmanship, but also the rich heritage of locally grown Benguet coffee.
Through coffee roasting, barista, and hand drip experience programs, TESDA highlighted the excellence of Filipino talent and the growing strength of Philippine coffee culture in the international scene. The participation also opened discussions on future partnerships in coffee education, tourism, and cultural exchange with key stakeholders in Korea.
This milestone aligns with the vision of President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. and TESDA Secretary Kiko Benitez in expanding international partnerships that empower Filipino learners, uplift local industries, and showcase Filipino talent on the global stage.

TESDA-NCR kicks off 2026 skills competition 🇵🇭✨
TESDA Secretary Kiko Benitez led the opening of the WorldSkills Philippines – NCR 2026, gathering the brightest young technical vocational talents from across the National Capital Region in a showcase of excellence, innovation, and future-ready skills.
Anchored on the theme “ONE NCR: Skilled, Dynamic, and Future-Ready,” the competition serves as the official qualifying platform for the WorldSkills Philippines 2026 National Competition.
A total of 120 competitors are now competing in 35 skills areas, including Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Mechatronics, Graphic Design Technology, Web Technologies, Automobile Technology, Electrical Installations, Fashion Technology, and Electric Vehicle Technology, among others.
