EASTERN VISAYAS’ 4TH AND 5TH MOST WANTED PERSONS FOR R**E FALL IN LUZON

The Philippine National Police, under the command of PNP Chief PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., arrested two Regional Most Wanted Persons of Region 8 for r**e in separate operations conducted in Quezon Province and Caloocan City on September 3, 2026.

First arrested was alias “Gino,” a 21-year-old Filipino male construction worker and No. 5 Regional Most Wanted Person of Region 8. He was apprehended at Buenaventura Alandy National High School in Barangay Ibabang Bukal, Tayabas, Quezon Province, by virtue of a warrant of arrest for R**e under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code, with no bail recommended.

Later that day, alias “Ben,” an 18-year-old Filipino male and No. 4 Regional Most Wanted Person of Region 8, was arrested in Barangay 176, Bagong Silang, Caloocan City. He was likewise apprehended by virtue of a warrant of arrest for R**e under Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code, with no bail recommended.

The arrests were carried out by personnel of the Regional Intelligence Division–Regional Special Operations Unit 8 (RID-RSOU-8), together with the Area Counterintelligence Section of the Regional Intelligence Division, NCRPO (ACS-RID, NCRPO), in coordination with the Biri Municipal Police Station and other concerned police units. Intelligence gathering, verification, surveillance, and sustained information-sharing enabled the police to track and confirm the whereabouts of the two wanted persons despite their presence outside Region 8.

Following their arrest, both individuals were informed of the nature and cause of their arrest and apprised of their constitutional rights in a language known to and understood by them. They were subsequently brought to the ACS-RID, NCRPO custodial facility at Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City, for documentation and proper disposition.

The operation supports the PNP Focused Agenda, which strengthens intelligence-led police operations and accountability, particularly under Enhanced Managing Police Operations.

PGEN Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr. said the arrests demonstrate the PNP’s firm resolve to pursue wanted persons regardless of where they may hide.

“Distance and jurisdictional boundaries will not deter our law enforcement efforts. We will use every lawful means available to locate wanted persons and bring them before the proper authorities,” PGEN Nartatez said.

He also underscored the importance of securing justice for victims of serious crimes.

“Hindi titigil ang PNP sa pagtugis sa mga wanted person, saan man sila magtago. Patuloy nating paiigtingin ang ating mga operasyon upang maibigay sa mga biktima ang hustisyang nararapat sa kanila,” he added.

The arrests of Region 8’s No. 4 and No. 5 Most Wanted Persons for r**e underscore the PNP’s firm pursuit of individuals wanted for serious offenses, even beyond their home region.

As the PNP strengthens its campaign against wanted persons under the directive of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr., it assures the public of “Bagong PNP para sa Bagong Pilipinas: Serbisyong Mabilis, Tapat, at Nararamdaman.”

NO HIDEOUT LASTS FOREVER: NCRPO SNARES DILG MOST WANTED R**E CONVICT, ENDS 3-YEAR RUN FROM THE LAW IN PAMPANGA

Delivering a decisive blow against high-risk fugitives and reinforcing the safety of local communities, operatives of the National Capital Region Police Office have successfully cornered and arrested a dangerous offender who had eluded authorities since escaping police custody in 2023.

The successful joint operation resulted in the capture of a 23-year-old solar panel installer at approximately 10:40 AM in Porac, Pampanga, removing a significant threat from the streets. The suspect was heavily prioritized as a Department of the Interior and Local Government Most Wanted Person and ranked 10th on the Pampanga Provincial Level Most Wanted list, with a Target Intelligence Packet carrying a ₱130,000 monetary reward highlighting the immense danger he posed to the public.

The arrest capped roughly a month of meticulous legwork by two teams from the Anti-Carnapping Section – Regional Intelligence Division, NCRPO, who worked tirelessly to ensure this fugitive could no longer roam free or endanger citizens.

Intelligence operatives first tracked the suspect to a construction site in Mabalacat, Pampanga, only to find he had already vanished. Investigators then quietly monitored the suspect's father, tracking leads to Barangay Tabun in Angeles City, which also turned up empty. Undeterred by the extensive manhunt across Central Luzon, the teams widened their operations across Barangays Balibago and Manibaug before finally pinning down the fugitive's exact coordinates in Porac after nearly two days of continuous tracking, ultimately keeping the surrounding neighborhoods safe from further harm.

The fugitive was captured on the strength of a standing Warrant of Arrest for R**e issued by Regional Trial Court Branch 61, Angeles City, for the service of a final sentence. Records indicate the case stems from a February 2023 gathering at the accused's residence in Barangay Anunas, Pampanga. Although initially arrested a day later by local police, the suspect managed to break free from custody the following month, posing an ongoing risk to the community. He initially hid at a relative's home in Antipolo City for a week before doubling back to Pampanga. For the next three years, he hopped between towns, finding shelter and labor with a construction contractor who employed him as a solar panel installer and housed him in a rest house in Barangay Palat, Porac, which ultimately served as his final hideout before law enforcement intervened to protect the public.

The suspect is currently safely secured in the custody of the ACS-RID, NCRPO, at Camp Bagong Diwa, Bicutan, Taguig City, pending the official issuance of a Commitment Order from the court.

"This arrest is proof that intelligence-driven police work delivers results. The NCRPO remains committed to pursuing every wanted person, no matter how long it takes, until justice is served."
— PBGEN Christopher N Abrahano, NCRPO Officer-in-Charge

The NCRPO reiterates its unwavering commitment to safeguarding communities by tracking down dangerous fugitives of the law, regardless of the timeline of their evasion, and calls upon the public to continue partnering with law enforcement by reporting the whereabouts of wanted individuals to their nearest local police station. # # #
