The PKWMH has recently leaned of the passing of TSG DIEGO BERNALES last 30 April 2026 through their Family from the Province of Batangas and from the United States.
Our condolences to the Family, TSG BERNALES was born on 12 November 1930 in San Luis, Batangas.
He was already a Sergeant when he deployed with the 14th Battalion Combat Team, PEFTOK under the Headquarters and Headquarters Service Company with COL Nicanor Jimenez PA (GSC) Commanding. SGT Bernales was in theater from 03 April 1953 to 10 April 1954.
He passed away on 22 April 2026 at age of 95. He last visited the PKWMH with his Son in 2018. He was interned at the Libingan Ng Mga Bayani last 30 April 2026.

Philippine Expeditionary Force to Korea (PEFTOK)
Our Condolences to the Family of the late CPL RAFAEL T DANIPOG
CPL DANIPOG joined our almighty creator last April 1, 2026 at the age of 96.
He was born on October 2, 1929.
Prior to his Korean War service, he is a Philippine Scout.
He deployed with the Field Artillery Battery of the 19th Battalion Combat Team under CPT Cesar Flor PA from 10 June 1952 to 02 April 1953.
The 19th BCT was the 3rd PEFTOK Battalion Combat Team that was sent by the Philippines under the UN Command during the Korean Campaign and notable for their exploits during the Battle For Combat Outpost Number 8 in which the Field Artillery Battery showed its mettle against the Chinese Communist Forces exchanging fires for 5 days.
CPL DANIPOG was laid to rest last April 11, 2026 at the Graden of Holy Sacrifice in Santa Ignacia, Tarlac.

The Philippine-Korea Friendship Center (PKFC) joins the nation in the Commemoration and Replication of the 84th Araw Ng Kagitingan (DAY OF VALOR) with this year's theme “Giting ng Bayani, Pamana sa Salinlahi,”.
Prior to the Flag Ceremony, the Shrine Curator, provided a briefing on the essence of April 9 today in comparison to the experiences and bravery showed by our forefathers fours scores ago reminding us of their resilience and sacrifice they made for us to enjoy the FREEDOM that we have TODAY.
