PNOC RC Recognized as One of the 2018 Top 10 GOCCs in Time for Its 11th Year Anniversary

In the Exit Conference on the Corporate Governance Scorecard Results organized by the Governance Commission for Government-Owned and Controlled Corporations (GCG), the results of the GCG appraisal of GOCC performance in relation to the internationally-accepted Corporate Governance Scorecard was presented. The said event was held on 7 March 2019 at the GCG Training Room in Makati City and was attended by the representatives of the various GOCCs.

In summary, there were three (3) main classifications of the GCG Corporate Governance Scorecard, namely: Stakeholder Relationships, Disclosure and Transparency, and Responsibilities of the Board. PNOC RC was able to garner a total of 86.5 out of a maximum of 100 points, which is among the highest GOCC scores. This is the second time that the company has been recognized as one of the Top 10 GOCCs since GCG implemented the assessment system.

On January 9, 2019, a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed between PNOC Renewables Corporation and the City Government of Baguio at Baguio City Hall. This signifies the interest of both agencies to support waste-to-energy development and sustainable solid waste management of the city.

The signing ceremony was attended by PNOC RC President & CEO John J. Arenas and Baguio City Mayor Mauricio Domogan. They were also joined by PNOC RC EVP Pedro L. Lite Jr. and Mr. Eugene Buyucan who stood as witnesses.

PNOC Renewables Corporation ended the year with the inauguration of its Solar PV Rooftop Project at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), yesterday at the Summit Hall Delegation Building. The event is one of the highlights of PNOC RC's energy efficiency program for government agencies, and their most significant accomplishment in terms of scale. This is the largest rooftop solar PV system that PNOC RC has installed as of date, showcasing it on the world-class facility for global conventions and exhibits of PICC.

In Photos: PNOC Renewables Corporation and Landbank of the Philippines formalized its partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement yesterday at its main office located at LBP Plaza, Malate, Manila. The partnership aims to reach out to Local Government Units (LGUs) nationwide and make renewable energy and energy efficiency and conservation technologies more accessible through Landbank's Go Green Program.
