GreenVisionsPh provides smart and sustainable technologies that help farmers quickly understand the health of their soil and crops. Their solutions combine AI-powered farm diagnostics, digital monitoring tools, and microbial innovations to detect problems early, improve soil quality, and increase farm productivity.

This technology is supported by DOST-TAPI from its pre-commercialization phase through the TECHNiCOM 2.0 Program. Through DOST-TAPI’s SPICE Program, this homegrown innovation was also linked to global markets on April 8–9, 2026, at GITEX AI Asia in Singapore.

The Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) formally commenced the implementation of two newly approved projects under its TECHNiCOM Program, which aim to provide technology-driven solutions to critical national concerns in infrastructure and food security. A total of ₱8.53 million in grant funding was awarded to support these innovations as they advance toward commercialization and wider societal adoption.

Among the projects is Project DAAN (Digital Analytics and Asset-Based Inspection of Road Networks), led by Engr. Julius Marvin V. Flores, which received ₱3.56 million to develop digital solutions that can enhance operational efficiency, accessibility, and technology-enabled community development.

Also supported is FoodSecure PH: A Locally-Engineered High-Nutrition Compressed Food Solution for Disaster Relief, Feeding Programs, and Malnutrition Support, led by Ms. Anna Bettina N. Luz, which received ₱4.96 million to strengthen food resilience and promote innovative approaches to nutrition, disaster preparedness, and sustainable food systems.

The TECHNiCOM Program is one of DOST-TAPI’s flagship initiatives that supports research-based technologies and early-stage startups in achieving market readiness through funding assistance for pilot testing, validation, and commercialization activities.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: DOST-TAPI Strategic Partner TechShake, Brunei Innovation Lab Forge Partnership to Strengthen ASEAN Startup Ecosystem

The Philippine innovation ecosystem takes another step toward stronger regional integration as TechShake , Asia’s leading accelerator and innovation ecosystem builder and one of the strategic partners of DOST-TAPI, formalized a partnership with Brunei Innovation Lab through a Memorandum of Understanding signing ceremony held on 29 May 2026 in Pasig City.

The partnership signals a shared commitment to strengthen cross-border collaboration among ASEAN innovation hubs, particularly in supporting startups, innovators, and ecosystem builders working toward scalable and inclusive solutions.

This collaboration also aims to deepen knowledge exchange, accelerate startup development, and create more opportunities for founders and enablers to access regional networks, capability-building initiatives, and innovation-driven growth pathways.

For DOST-TAPI, this milestone affirms the importance of strategic partnerships in expanding the reach of Filipino innovators beyond local markets and positioning the Philippines as an active contributor to the ASEAN startup and digital innovation landscape.

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 BusinessMirror: Every invention begins the same way: with a problem someone refuses to ignore. A farmer is looking for a better way to dry crops. A student is building a safer helmet. A researcher is trying to make technology more accessible.

Across the Philippines, these ideas exist. But for many innovators, the real challenge is not creating them; it’s moving them forward.

At Malacañang, that challenge, and its possibilities, took center stage as the country’s top innovators were recognized on April 28 through the NICE 2026 Presidential Awards. NICE stands for National Invention Contest and Exhibit.

𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗲 The Manila Times: For many Filipino inventors, innovators and researchers, the biggest challenge is not the lack of ideas but the opportunities to bring these ideas to life.

But on the opening day of the 2026 National Invention Contest and Exhibits (NICE), the Department of Science and Technology-Technology Application and Promotion Institute (DOST-TAPI) turned this challenge into a national platform, one that gives promising innovations the visibility, recognition and support needed to move from concept to real-world impact.

Through discussions with QAI Ventures, Nanyang Technological University’s NTUitive, and Stage One by Startup SG (Enterprise Singapore), the delegation gained valuable insights into venture capital pathways and innovation support systems designed to accelerate market-ready technologies toward global competitiveness.

These engagements continue to open new opportunities towards the advancement of Filipino innovations on the international stage.
