STATEMENT REGARDING THE VIRAL VIDEO INVOLVING A POLICE OFFICER AND A SENIOR CITIZEN
The Taguig City Police Station confirms that the police officer appearing in the viral video is not assigned to this station nor to any unit under the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO).
The video pertains to an incident involving a police officer and a senior citizen following a minor vehicular accident that occurred along MLQ Avenue corner Mauling Creek, Barangay Bagumbayan, Taguig City.
Based on the statements of the involved parties and CCTV footage, a minor collision occurred, resulting in damage to both vehicles. The parties subsequently reached an amicable settlement and voluntarily executed a Compromise Agreement in the presence of barangay representatives. They likewise manifested their intention not to file any complaint against each other.
With regard to the actions displayed by the police officer, CCTV footage showed that immediately after the collision, the police officer, together with members of the Barangay Security Force (BSF), manned the traffic and request the driver's license of the senior citizen as part of the standard initial response. During the course of the incident, the elderly driver allegedly attempted to leave the area, resulting the police officer actions to take the elderly.
Notwithstanding these circumstances, this Office will refer the matter to Police Regional Office 4A for appropriate administrative evaluation and action regarding the officer’s conduct during the incident.

SPD Statement on Viral Video Involving Police Officer and Senior Citizen in Taguig
The Southern Police District (SPD) has taken cognizance of the video circulating on social media involving a police officer and a 76-year-old senior citizen following a vehicular accident that occurred in Barangay Bagumbayan, Taguig City on June 2, 2026.
Based on the initial report, the incident stemmed from a collision involving a vehicle driven by a police officer assigned to Police Regional Office 4A and another vehicle driven by the senior citizen. Records further indicate that both parties later proceeded to the police station where the incident was documented and subsequently settled amicably.
Notwithstanding the settlement of the vehicular accident, the Southern Police District recognizes the public concern arising from the circulating video and the manner by which the senior citizen was allegedly handled during the incident.
In this regard, the Taguig City Police Station has been directed to conduct a thorough investigation to establish the complete facts and circumstances surrounding the matter. Available evidence, including CCTV footage, witness accounts, and other relevant records, shall be gathered and evaluated as part of the investigation.
The Southern Police District emphasizes that all police personnel are expected to observe professionalism, restraint, and respect for the rights and dignity of all individuals at all times.
Considering that the involved police officer is assigned to Police Regional Office 4A, any findings that may warrant administrative action shall be properly coordinated with and endorsed to the concerned office having administrative jurisdiction over the personnel concerned.

MUNTINLUPA CITY – In another remarkable display of honesty, discipline, and genuine public service, personnel from Poblacion Police Sub-Station 6 proved once again that the police force is truly a partner of the community. Through their swift action and proper handling of a reported concern, a lost cellphone was successfully recovered and safely returned to its rightful owner, Ms. Patricia Solano y Alipo, a resident of South Cembo, Taguig City.
The commendable initiative was carried out by Police Corporal Angelo R. Marabella and Patrolman Melvin Joeffrey V. Aggasid, who were onboard Mobile Unit MC 603 at the time the report was received. Demonstrating the efficiency expected of frontline law enforcers, the pair immediately responded, conducted a careful assessment of the situation, and coordinated closely to locate the missing item. Their quick response and dedication to duty ensured that the matter was resolved without unnecessary delay, bringing relief and satisfaction to the owner.
This successful outcome was achieved under the able leadership and supervision of Police Captain Roselyn S. German, Commander of Poblacion Police Sub-Station 6. Her guidance and strict adherence to standard operating procedures ensured that every step taken was proper, legal, and in line with the highest standards of police service.
This incident serves as a shining example of the Philippine National Police’s continuing commitment to build and protect public trust. It highlights that policing goes beyond law enforcement—it is also about extending assistance, showing concern for the smallest and biggest needs of the people, and upholding the core values of honesty, responsibility, and service-oriented action.
