DRUG DEN DISMANTLED IN MAKATI; 13 ARRESTED, NEARLY ₱1 MILLION WORTH OF SUSPECTED ILLEGAL DRUGS SEIZED

At about 11:58 PM, Southern Police District personnel conducted a buy-bust operation at a suspected drug den in Barangay Poblacion, Makati City, resulting in the arrest of 13 individuals allegedly linked to illegal drug activities in the area.
Among those arrested was “Nok,” 53, a newly identified high-value individual and alleged drug pusher, who is facing charges for alleged violations of Sections 5, 6, 8, and 13, Article II of Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
Also arrested were alias "Non", 47, male; "Ric", 43, male; "Dom", 45, male; "MJ", 27, female; "Kay", 29, female; "tin", 25, female; "Marie", 22, female; "JM", 42, female; "Mig", 42, male; "Stan", 22, male; "Joe", 35, female; and "Far", 39, female, who were arrested for alleged violations of various provisions of Republic Act No. 9165, including Sections 7, 13, and 26, as applicable to each suspect.
Notably, the operation led to the recovery of a wide variety of suspected dangerous drugs, including approximately 28.4 grams of suspected shabu, 56 grams of suspected co***ne, 6.4 grams of suspected ma*****na (kush), 2.5 liters of suspected liquid ecstasy, 102 tablets and 14 capsules of suspected ecstasy, 59.53 grams of suspected ketamine, and 32.10 grams of suspected 3,4-Methylenedioxymethamphetamine (M**A).
Authorities also recovered two glass bongs, a glass tube, a weighing scale, a lighter, cellular phones, and buy-bust money, further highlighting the suspected drug-related activities taking place at the location.
The seized suspected dangerous drugs have an estimated Standard Drug Price (SDP) value of P994,370.00.
For PBGEN PASTOR, the operation demonstrates the need to target not only those who sell dangerous drugs, but also the activities and individuals that sustain drug dens and allow illegal drugs to reach communities.
“Hindi lang pusher ang problema. Kailangan nating putulin ang buong drug activity sa loob ng mga drug den. Kapag may lugar na nagsisilbing sentro ng bentahan at paggamit ng illegal drugs, hindi natin ito hahayaang magpatuloy,” he said.
He further emphasized that the Southern Police District will continue to intensify operations against drug dens and individuals involved in the illegal drug trade.
The arrested individuals were brought to the DDEU-SPD office for documentation and preparation of the appropriate charges.
