𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: Under the leadership of 𝐂𝐚𝐩𝐭 𝐉𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐏 𝐆𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐦 𝐏𝐂𝐆 (𝐆𝐒𝐂), Coast Guard Surface Patrol Force (CGSPF) participated the Parol Making Contest held at Coast Guard Base Taguig with the theme "Liwanag ng Paglilingkod at Pag-asa" on 27 November 2025

"Ang parol ay sumasagisag sa liwanag, pag-asa, pasko, at pagkakaisa. Ito’y nagsisilbing gabay sa dilim, tulad ng tala. Ang tunay na liwanag ng pasko ay nagpapahiwatig ng pag-asang nagmumula sa masinop, tapat, at tuluy-tuloy na paglilingkod. Paalala na kahit may hirap, may darating na bagong liwanag sa buhay".

The official welcoming ceremony was held today at Headquarters MARSLEC, situated at Coast Guard Base Taguig, Barangay New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City on 11 November 2025.

𝐈𝐍 𝐏𝐇𝐎𝐓𝐎𝐒: The Maritime Security Law Enforcement Command (MARSLEC) successfully hosted a significant joint Turn-over Ceremony, marking key leadership changes for both MARSLEC and the Coast Guard Investigation and Detection Management Service (CGIDMS). The event took place at Headquarters MARSLEC, located at Coast Guard Base Taguig, Barangay New Lower Bicutan, Taguig City on 10 November 2025.

The ceremony saw a formal transition for the Command's top administrative post. 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗼 𝗗𝗚 𝗔𝗽𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗲𝘀 𝗝𝗿 𝗣𝗖𝗚 officially concluded his tenure as Chief of Staff, MARSLEC, formally turning over his critical duties and responsibilities to the incoming Chief of Staff, 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗣 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗖𝗚.

The changes continued with Captain Apillanes Jr PCG immediately assuming a new and vital role: the newly appointed Commander, CGIDMS. He takes the helm from 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗢𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗦 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗲𝗰𝗼 𝗣𝗖𝗚, who officially relinquished his post. Commodore Tanseco's leadership at CGIDMS was highlighted by numerous significant accomplishments, including the landmark promulgation of the Philippine Coast Guard's Criminal Investigation Manual.

Additionally, Commodore Tanseco was awarded the 2nd highest military award in the Philippine Coast Guard for his outstanding leadership as Commander, CGIDMS that led to the arrest, seizure and conviction of criminals including members of drugs, carnapping and smuggling syndicates.

The joint ceremony was a solemn yet celebratory affair, presided over by 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗔𝗱𝗺𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻 𝗝 𝗗𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗴𝗶𝗻 𝗣𝗖𝗚 (𝗠𝗡𝗦𝗔), Commander, MARSLEC. It was well-attended by the Command's Staff Officers and other key personnel, underscoring the importance of these leadership transitions to the service.

The Coast Guard Surface Patrol Force (CGSPF) under the leadership of CAPT Jonathan P Galam PCG (GSC), is on heightened alert status and fully prepared to respond to the possible effects of Tropical Storm “FUNG WONG” (Uwan) within its Area of Responsibility (AOR).

The Deployable Response Group (DRG) is on standby for immediate deployment to coastal and vulnerable areas likely to be impacted by the storm. All surface patrol units have been directed to ensure operational readiness and coordinate closely with concerned Coast Guard Districts and local disaster response units to ensure the safety of lives and property.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: In a solemn yet festive spirit, the Maritime Safety Services Command (MSSC) led by its Commander, Rear Admiral (RADM) Genito Basilio PCG, joined the Feast of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary La Naval, at Naval Base Heracleo Alano (NBHA) Sangley Point, Cavite City today, 29 October 2025.

The festivities featured "Caracol", a traditional and religious dance offered in honor of the patron saint, culminating in a Thanksgiving mass, wherein the Commanders of different commands served as principal sponsors.

The annual celebration was held in honor of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary La Naval, revered as the patroness of the Philippine Navy. This devotion had originated from the 1646 naval battle, wherein the Spanish-Filipino forces had credited their triumph over the Dutch to the intercession of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary La Naval.

By actively participating through these activities, the Command continue to foster spiritual growth and foster camaraderie and community spirit with the different uniformed personnel within NBHA, Sangley Point.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊: In line with its continuing commitment to enhance the operational competency and readiness of its personnel, 26 members of the Coast Guard Sea Marshal Force (CGSMF) successfully completed the Explosive Ordnance Reconnaissance Activity (EORA) conducted by the Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) Force held at Coast Guard Base Taguig (CGBT).

The one-week specialized training aimed to equip Sea Marshals with essential knowledge and practical skills in recognizing, assessing, and safely responding to potential explosive threats within maritime and port environments. Topics included explosive ordnance identification, safety procedures, perimeter establishment, and coordination with appropriate EOD and CBRN response units.

This initiative forms part of CGSMF’s continuous professional development program and underscores the command’s dedication to ensuring that all Sea Marshals are well-trained, mission-ready, and capable of upholding maritime safety and security.

The audit aimed to evaluate HMARSLEC’s adherence to the standards of International Organization for Standardization (ISO), ensuring that its operations and management systems remain effective, consistent, and aligned with the principles of quality and continual improvement.

Through this activity, MARSLEC reaffirmed its strong commitment to operational excellence, organizational efficiency, and continuous improvement across all areas of its mandates.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞: The Coast Guard Sea Marshal Force (CGSMF) held a joint turnover and retirement ceremony on 03 October 2025 at Woodside and Waterpark, Cabuyao City, Laguna, marking a significant milestone in leadership transition and recognition of service within the command.

The ceremony featured the formal turnover of duties and responsibilities between Outgoing Master Chief, SCPO Pilardo L Quibilan PCG, and Incoming Master Chief, SCPO Dennis V Edrosolano PCG. It was presided over by 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻 𝗝𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗣 𝗚𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗺 𝗣𝗖𝗚 (𝗚𝗦𝗖), Commander of the Coast Guard Surface Patrol Force (CGSPF), who underscored the importance of leadership continuity and commitment in sustaining the operational excellence of the CGSMF.
