Look | PMC Afloat Personnel Joins BEACON EXPO 2026 |

On September 29, 2026, Philippine Marine Corps Afloat personnel participated as exhibitors during the Blue Economy Annual Trade and Conference (BEACON EXPO) 2026, held at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City. The activity provided an opportunity to showcase the capabilities, platforms, and operational applications of PMC Afloat to maritime industry stakeholders, government representatives, and participating companies.
As part of the exhibition, the Assault Boat Battalion (ABBn) showcased a miniature model of its Small Unit Riverine Craft (SURC).

Personnel from Office MC11, led by COL KRISTINE B SALON PN(M)(GSC), visited and supported the PMC Afloat participants and engaged with exhibitors and maritime industry stakeholders. The engagement provided insights into emerging maritime technologies and platforms relevant to the continued development of PMC Afloat capabilities.

On September 30, 2026, MC11 personnel proceeded to the Manila Yacht Club to participate in a sea trial of boats offered by The Boat Shop. The activity enabled firsthand observation of the boats’ performance, maneuverability, and other operational characteristics under actual maritime conditions. The data gathered may serve as a reference in assessing potential platforms for future operational requirements.
The activity strengthened PMC Afloat’s collaboration with the maritime industry and provided valuable technical and operational insights to support future capability development initiatives.

PMC Collaborates with DOST for Training on 3-D Printing |

The PMC through the Office of Marine Systems Engineering, MC11 collaborated with the Department of Science and Technology – Metals Industry Research and Development Center (DOST-MIRDC) for a training on 3-D Printing: An Introduction to Additive Manufacturing on September 24, 2026 at General Santos Avenue, Bicutan, Taguig City.

The training was attended by MC11 personnel together with personnel from AABn and ABBn, as part of the continuing efforts to enhance personnel knowledge and technical awareness on emerging manufacturing technologies.

The activity aimed to provide participants with a fundamental understanding of additive manufacturing, commonly known as 3-D printing, including its basic principles, processes, and applications. It also featured demonstrations highlighting the practical application of various additive manufacturing technologies.

Through the activity, participants gained valuable insights into the potential applications of 3-D printing. This will explore the fabrication of amphibious and floating assets spares in order to lessen the down time and ensure high operational and maintenance readiness.
The conduct of the training underscores the commitment of the Office for MSE, MC11, in promoting continuous learning, technological advancement, and capability development among its personnel.

MC11 Co-spearheads Husay Marino 2.0 Surface Drone Competition |

The Assistant Chief of Staff for Marine Systems Engineering, MC11 joins the AC of S for Plans and Programs, MC5 in spearheading the Husay Marino Surface Drone Competition on September 18, 2026 at HFRR, Kaynipa, Ternate, Cavite.

Prior to the competition, all participating personnel underwent preparatory training and technical familiarization on the operation and employment of surface drones. The participants likewise assembled, inspected, and conducted readiness checks on their respective equipment to ensure operational capability prior to the competition proper.

The activity commenced with a briefing of participating teams, followed by the Speed Race Category, which tested the participants’ speed, maneuverability, control, and technical proficiency. The Combat Support Brigade (CSB) emerged as the declared winner.

The activity concluded in the announcement and recognition of the winners. This competition provided participating units an avenue to demonstrate technical proficiency, teamwork, adaptability, and operational awareness while enhancing their capabilities in the employment of emerging surface drone technology in the context of modern warfare in our littorals.

The successful conduct of Husay Marino 2 highlights the collective efforts, discipline, and professionalism of all participating personnel and contributes to the continuous enhancement of operational readiness, interoperability, and technological capabilities of participating units.

MC11 Visits 2MBDE |

On September 18-20, 2026, the Office of Marine Systems Engineering, MC11 of Philippine Marine Corps, visited the Headquarters 2nd Marine Brigade and conducted Pre-Overhaul, Test and Inspection (POT&I) of boats (PC215 and PC216) at Bato-Bato, Panglima Sugala, Tawi-Tawi.

The three-day activity was led by COL KRISTINE B. SALON PN(M)(GSC), together with the other officers and technical personnel of MC11. The activity commenced with a Courtesy Call with the Deputy Brigade Commander (DBC) 2nd Marine Brigade, followed by a talk to men with the unit's personnel aboard. This was subsequently followed by a comprehensive inspection and assessment of the subject boats to determine their material condition and operational readiness.

The technical team conducted a sea trial of boat RC304 to evaluate its performance and seaworthiness under actual operating conditions. The activity provided the technical team with essential data and observations necessary for the assessment of the boat's overall condition and readiness.
MC11 conducted an Exit Call with the Deputy Brigade Commander, 2MBde, marking the completion of the activity.

The MC11 facility visit and the conduct of the POT&I underscores the PMCs' continuing commitment to ensuring the reliability, safety, operational readiness, and sustained serviceability of its afloat assets, in support of the Marine Corps' mission and operational requirements.

The Philippine Marine Corps successfully conducted the PMC Afloat Strategic Plan Workshop through the Assistant Chief of Staff for Marine Systems Engineering, MC11 under the leadership of COL KRISTINE B SALON PN(M)(GSC), last August 05, 2026 at the SNCO's Club, MBRB, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.
The activity aims to develop a strategic plan for the Philippine Marine Corps’ Marine Systems Engineering capabilities, particularly for its amphibious and floating assets, by identifying current capability gaps, establishing strategic priorities, and formulating actionable programs that will enhance operational readiness, sustainment, modernization, and long-term fleet capability.
The workshop commenced with a discussion on the Marine System Engineering Capability and the dissemination of the DOTMPLF Consolidated Output by Ms. Princess Ruzel P. Dimayuga, Civilian Employee. This was followed by the Environmental Analysis presented by MAJ SHIRLEY E BACUS PN(M), Deputy MC11; the Priming Session Output by MAJ MYLENE J VERAS PN(M), Director, MCDWO; and the Workshop Mechanics by MAJ LADYBETH B ALAGASI PN(M), Chief, Research & Development Branch, MC11.
The workshop proper concluded with group presentations on strategic objectives and strategic initiatives toward strengthening the PMC's future capabilities.
The activity was attended by PMC officers, enlisted personnel, and civilian human resources, reaffirming the organization's collective dedication to strategic planning, innovation, and mission excellence.

LOOK | Assault Armor Battalion Change of Command Ceremony

The Assault Armor Battalion proudly conducted its Change of Command Ceremony on 18 July 2026 at the Philippine Navy Officers' Club, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The ceremony was presided by BGEN ARMANDO B CUSTODIO PN(M), Commander, Combat Support Brigade. During this significant occasion, LTCOL MARIA ROWENA A MUYUELA PN(M) formally relinquished command and responsibilities to LTCOL BERYL CHARITY T BACOLCOL PN(M)(GSC), signifying a seamless and distinguished transition of leadership within the battalion.

The Change of Command Ceremony is a time-honored military tradition that reflects the Philippine Marine Corps' enduring commitment to leadership continuity, operational readiness, and mission excellence.

As the battalion welcomes its new Commanding Officer, the Assault Armor Battalion remains steadfast in its commitment to providing responsive, reliable, and combat-ready armored support in fulfilling the Philippine Marine Corps' mission.

| PMC Maintenance & Repair Personnel Joins PNSEMIS Training & Workshop |

On July 07-09 2026, representatives from office MC11, SSgt Roderic M Austria PN(M), SSgt Ramirez C Panizales PN(M) and Cpl Franklin A Gorospe PN(M) together with Sgt Rommel A Salunoy PN(M) from MCABBn, Sgt John Michael U Budol PN(M) from FRR, Sgt Dalia A Mesa PN(M) from CEBn, and Cpl Oliver M Busania PN(M) from AABn, successfully participated in the Philippine Navy Systems Engineering Management Information System (PNSEMIS) Training and Workshop conducted at the Multi-Purpose Hall, Naval Station Pascual Ledesma, Cavite City.
The three-day training covered the dissemination of relevant policies, lectures on PNSEMIS Version 4.0, hands-on system training and data encoding, as well as the finalization and presentation of unit outputs. These activities enhanced the participants' knowledge and technical proficiency in the proper utilization, management, and continuous monitoring and keeping the data and informations in the system are all updated. PNSEMIS is a centralized database used by the Navy and its units to store and track data on naval systems engineering, primarily managing repair, maintenance, and material management operations for its vessels/boats.
The training underscores the Philippine Navy's commitment to strengthening personnel competency and promoting accurate, reliable, and efficient systems management in support of mission readiness and organizational effectiveness.

The Philippine Marine Corps, through the AC of MS for Maintenance and Repair Afloat, MC11 under the leadership of COL KRISTINE B SALON PN(M)(GSC), successfully conducted the Two-Day Planned Maintenance System (PMS), Carry-On-Board Spares (COBS), and Readily Available Spares (RAS) Formulation Workshop 2026 on June 29-30, 2026 at the SNCOs Club, MBRB, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City. The workshop was attended by the personnel from Force Reconnaissance Regiment (FRR), Marine Corps Assault Boat Battalion (MCABBn), Assault Armor Battalion (AABn), Marine Corps Engineering Battalion (MCEBn), and Marine R***e Battalions (MRBn) 4, 6, 9, and 10 in a collaborative effort to enhance the maintenance and sustainment capabilities of the Philippine Marine Corps' afloat assets.

The two-day activity featured the formulation of each unit's PMS, COBS, and RAS, complemented by informative lectures delivered by subject matter experts. LCDR BELLY RICK S VIRAY PN, Chief of the Surface Assets Maintenance Branch, discussed the principles and implementation of the PMS, COBS, and RAS. Meanwhile, CPT FRANCO AVELLO A HILOTIN PN(M), Chief of the Capability Branch of MC6, presented the Communication and Navigation Systems of PMC Afloat Assets. The participants also gained valuable insights from Mr. Ricardo Pascua, PMC System Developer and Consultant, who discussed the Philippine Marine Corps Inventory System.

The workshop aims to produce a comprehensive PMS, COBS, and RAS framework that will serve as the basis for programming the spare parts requirements for the repair and maintenance of Philippine Marine Corps afloat assets for Calendar Year 2028. This initiative underscores the Philippine Marine Corps' continuing commitment to enhancing operational readiness through proactive planning, effective resource management, and sustained capability development.

The Office MC11, headed by COL KRISTINE B SALON PN(M)(GSC), successfully conducted a two-day Deploy Sustain Repair Train (DSRT) Workshop for PMC Amphibious and Floating Assets on June 25-26, 2026 at Ogbinar Hall, Philippine Navy Golf Course, Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

The workshop focused on the revision of the Depot-Level Maintenance (DLM) SOP and the update and validation of the DSRT Program for CY 2028–2033. It gathered maintenance and repair officers, logistics officers, and NCOs from the Force Reconnaissance Regiment (FRR), Marine Corps Assault Boat Battalion (MCABBn), Assault Armor Battalion (AABn), Marine Corps Engineering Battalion (MCEBn), and representatives from MC3, MC4, MC6, and MC8.

This initiative reinforces the Philippine Marine Corps' commitment to enhancing maintenance readiness, strengthening operational capability, and fostering unified collaboration across all participating units. ⚓️🌊
