The National Institute for Technical Education and Skills Development-Learning Development Division (NITESD-LDD) joined the “TESDA Kayang-Kaya, All-in-One Caravan" on May 2 at SM City Cebu to bridge the gap from "Training to Trabaho." Central to the event was the simulation of the TVET Career Profiling Instrument (CPI), a valuable assessment tool that measures a learner’s interests alongside their numeracy and literacy skills. By capturing these foundational strengths, the CPI ensures that learners are matched with the specific TVET programs that best suit their capabilities, reducing training mismatches and increasing long-term career satisfaction.

To complement these technical assessments, NITESD-LDD personnel, external experts, and regional career guidance advocates provided personalized guidance and career coaching to help learners interpret their results. This holistic approach allows learners to unlock their hidden potential and adapt to the demands of an evolving workforce. Whether one is starting out as a student or is a worker looking to upskill, the TVET CPI serves as a compass in the journey toward personal and professional growth.

Beyond titles and positions, we recognize the vital role women play in the family and society. We believe every woman is called to a unique form of motherhood. It is seen in every woman who mentors, leads, and heals! Thus, we celebrate the modern Babaylans, those who give life and give life-purpose: the breadwinners, solo parents, and mentors who provide professional, spiritual and emotional refuge.

You are seen. You are loved. You are appreciated. Happy Women’s Month! 💜

Leading the Way: TESDA Redefines Philippine TVET through RTICs!

The modernization of TVET institutions is in full swing following the successful Regional TVET Innovation Centers (RTICs) Visioning Workshop led by DOST Assistant Secretary Napoleon K. Juanillo, Jr. and joined by DOST Undersecretary Teodoro M. Gatchalian. The workshop is held from March 2–4, 2026, at the TESDA Women’s Center in Taguig City.

As a key initiative under the Supporting Innovation in the Philippine Technical and Vocational Education and Training System (SIPTVETS) Project, this three-day event brought leaders together --- the Regional Directors, Provincial Directors, TTI Administrators, and TESDA Executive Offices --- to unify the strategic direction for RTICs, aiming to transform them from just a learning center into dynamic hubs for applied research, industry collaboration, advanced skills development, entrepreneurship, and cutting-edge innovation that infuses an authentic learning environment.

To ensure a shared understanding of the innovation ecosystem and sustain RTICs operationalization, the Visioning Workshop defined the core service functions which outlined the foundation for the RTIC Operations Manual.

Through this initiative, TESDA is building a foundation for a TVET system that doesn't just keep up with the world but leads it through innovation and operational excellence.

Shaping the Future of TVET: TESDA Career Profiling Norming Begins!

From March 4–6, 2026, the NITESD-Learning Development Division officially kicked off the Norming Activities for the new Career Profiling Instrument. This crucial phase was rolled out across key locations in the National Capital Region—including TNTI, Carenet, NTTA, and TWC—marking a transformative step toward a more data-driven approach to learner success.

With a target of 3,000 student examinees, this phase goes beyond simple testing—it is about setting a national standard. By gathering data from the NCR and Regions V, VI, VII, IX, and X, we are ensuring that this tool is inclusive, reliable, and culturally responsive for every Filipino learner.

By validating this instrument, we are not just analyzing data; we hope to provide a clearer roadmap for the Filipino workforce.

Through this initiative supported by the SIPTVETS Project, TESDA empowers future learners with the precise insights they need to navigate their careers with confidence, ensuring our programs remain relevant, industry-aligned and future-ready.
