Demonstrating its commitment to inclusivity, accessible and faster public service, the Philippine Statistics Authority – Provincial Statistical Office of Davao del Norte (PSA-PSO Davao del Norte) brought the National ID Registration system directly to the doorsteps of residents in Barangay Magwawa, Santo Tomas, on May 27, 2026.

Fisheries production in Davao del Norte increased by 25.95 percent in the first quarter of 2026

The total volume of fisheries production in the first quarter of 2026 in Davao del Norte was registered at 1,352.35 metric tons, translating to an increase of 25.95 percent from the 1,073.76 metric tons production output in the same quarter of 2025.

The inflation in Davao del Norte for the bottom 30% income households increased by 2.1 percentage points in April 2026 (10.2%) compared to its inflation rate in March 2026 which was recorded at 8.1 percent. The current inflation rate in the province is higher than the figure of the Philippines but lower than the Davao Region with a recorded inflation rate of 8.5 percent and 11.6 percent.

Ensuring no one gets left behind! Last May 27, 2026, the Provincial Statistical Office - Davao del Norte brought the National ID Registration straight to the homes of residents in Brgy. Magwawa, Sto. Tomas.

This special mobile registration was launched to assist our senior citizens and bedridden constituents who cannot easily visit regular registration centers.

The Philippine Statistics Authority – Provincial Statistical Office Davao del Norte successfully convened the Municipal Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS) Coordinating Board meeting of the Municipality of Talaingod on Monday, 25 May 2026, at Cliffs Cafe, Talaingod.

On the same day that the Municipality of Kapalong also convened its CBMS Coordinating Board meeting, the meeting was led by Hon. Mayor Jonnie A. Libayao as Chairperson and the Philippine Statistics Authority – Provincial Statistical Office Chief Statistical Specialist Jessie A. Madulin, as Co-Chairperson. The activity included discussions and presentations on the overall process and preparations for the upcoming 2027 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS).

Led by Provincial Statistical Office Chief Statistical Specialist Jessie A. Madulin, the activity included discussions and presentations on the overall process and preparation for the upcoming 2027 Community-Based Monitoring System (CBMS).

𝐈𝐂𝐘𝐌𝐈 | The Provincial Statistics Committee (PSC) of Davao del Norte convened for its 2nd Quarter CY 2026 Meeting at the Conference Room, PSA–Davao del Norte PSO, Osmeña St., Tagum City, with 25 of 35 members present. PSC Vice Chairperson and PSO Chief Statistical Specialist Jessie A. Madulin presided over the session.

Senior Statistical Specialist Marivic M. Omosura discussed the Community-Based Monitoring System convening plans and guidelines, while PSC Secretary and Statistical Analyst Ramil Kent R. Casidsid presented updates on the Provincial Product Accounts, PSA‑LGU Data Sharing for the Statistical Business Registers, and coordination for the Agriculture and Fisheries Surveys. With 11 resolutions passed, the committee further strengthened its role in ensuring harmonized and reliable statistics that support evidence‑based governance in the province.
