Alternative Work Arrangement on April 16, 2025 (Wednesday)

In view of Memorandum No. 243 from the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR), and pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 81 issued by the Office of the Executive Secretary, please be informed that on April 16, 2025 (Wednesday), DAR offices will observe the following work arrangement:

• Work-from-home setup from 8:00 AM to 12:00 NN

(ALL DAR DAVAO DEL NORTE PERSONNEL WILL NOT BE ON SITE - OFFICES WILL BE CLOSED)

• Suspension of work from 12:00 NN onwards

This is in preparation for the observance of the Holy Week Holidays on April 17 and 18, 2025 (Maundy Thursday and Good Friday).

Regular operations will resume on Monday, April 21, 2025.

Mga Kababayen-an Nagpakita sa Kusog sa Agraryo: Bag-ong Liderato sa BARC

Marso 18, 2025 – Ang Barangay Agrarian Reform Committee (BARC) sa Barangay Cabaywa, Asuncion, Davao del Norte, malampusong gi-reorganisa pinaagi sa usa ka kalihokan nga gipangulohan sa Municipal Office sa Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) sa Asuncion.

Si Municipal Agrarian Reform Program Officer (MARPO) Melina C. Avila, uban sa iyang mga staff, naghatag og oryentasyon bahin sa legal nga basehan, mga tahas, katungdanan, ug responsibilidad sa BARC.

Ang eleksyon gipangulohan ni Ma’am Jeanevie D. Pagula, Master Teacher I sa Cabaywa Elementary School, ug gitambongan sa mga representante gikan sa nagkalain-laing sektor sa komunidad. Lakip sa mga partisipante ang mga tag-iya sa yuta, mga walay yuta nga mag-uuma, agricultural lessees, share tenants, kababayen-an sa kabaryohan, mga lumad, mga nagbayad sa amortisasyon, mga miyembro sa kooperatiba ug asosasyon, ug mga mag-uuma nga dili benepisyaryo. Sa kinatibuk-an, 20 ka indibidwal ang mitambong: 7 ka lalaki ug 13 ka babaye.

Sa resulta sa eleksyon, napili si Teresa A. Castillon isip BARC Chairman, si Bernardita I. Ramos isip Vice-Chairman, ug si Salve S. Pagaran isip Assistant Secretary. Kauban nila mao ang mga napiling representante sa matag sektor nga magserbisyo sulod sa tulo ka tuig. Ang ilang pagpangulo nagpamatuod sa kusog ug determinasyon sa mga kababayen-an sa pagpalambo sa reporma sa agraryo.

Nagpadayag usab si Barangay Captain Lydia L. Mercado sa iyang padayong suporta sa DAR ug sa mga bag-ong napili sa BARC.

Ang BARC nagsilbi nga instrumento sa pagpatuman sa mga programa sa Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) sa lokal nga lebel. Nagpasiugda kini sa patas nga distribusyon sa yuta ug nagbantay sa katungod sa mga mag-uuma aron masiguro nga ang mga polisiyang agraryo maabot ug masabtan sa komunidad.

Ang bag-ong liderato sa BARC nagpamatuod nga dako ang papel sa mga kababayen-an sa pagpalambo sa sektor sa agrikultura. Pinaagi sa ilang pagserbisyo, dako ang ilang kontribusyon sa pagpalig-on sa seguridad sa yuta ug sa kalambuan sa panginabuhian sa mga mag-uuma sa barangay.

Gender Fair Language by MARPO Asuncion Melina C. Avila

During the Monday convocation under the Values Restoration Program at DAR Davao del Norte, MARPO Asuncion Melina C. Avila led a session to 33 strong women and 29 gentlemen of DAR regular and SPLIT/COS personnel focused on Gender Fair Language. This initiative aimed to address gender inequality by promoting the use of inclusive and unbiased language in communication. The session is aligned with the Gender and Development (GAD) objectives, emphasizing the importance of bridging the gap between men and women in the workplace and beyond. By fostering an environment of respect and equality, this program encourages all employees to contribute to the advancement of gender equity in every aspect of their work and interactions.
