Personnel from the City Budget Office participated in the activities of the 23rd Musikahan sa Tagum Festival held from February 16 to 21, 2026 at the City Hall Square, City Hall Atrium, Tagum City Trade and Exhibition Center, and Rotary Park.
The personnel attended the Grand Opening Ceremony on February 16, 2026 at City Atrium together with other offices of the City Government of Tagum, showing their support for the city’s annual cultural celebration.
During the festival week, CBO personnel also visited various activities, exhibits, and performances held at the City Hall Atrium, City Hall Square and Tagum City Trade and Exhibition Center, Rotary Park. Their participation showed support for local talents, businesses, and the city’s programs promoting culture and tourism.
Participation to these activities reflects the strong support of CBO personnel for the City Government’s cultural programs. The involvement highlighted the importance of unity among government offices in fostering community spirit, promoting local culture, and sustaining Tagum City’s reputation as the “City of Harmony.”
The festival concluded on February 21, 2026, with the Closing Ceremony, marking the successful culmination of the 23rd Musikahan sa Tagum FestivalCBO personnel witnessed the closing program, celebrating the achievements of the festival and the collaborative efforts of the local government, stakeholders, and the community.

In line with the celebration of the 28th Araw ng Tagum, personnel of the City Budget Office actively participated in the City-Wide Clean-Up Drive held on March 4, 2026, at 6:00 AM. The activity covered the designated area from New Cathedral (Orange Valley to Narisma) in Tagum City.
Demonstrating unity, civic responsibility, and environmental stewardship, the City Budget Office staff gathered early in the morning to contribute their time and effort toward maintaining the cleanliness and beautification of the community. Equipped with cleaning materials and a shared commitment to public service, the team worked together in clearing roadside waste, sweeping streets, and ensuring that the assigned areas were properly maintained.
The activity not only highlighted the office’s support for the 28th Araw ng Tagum celebration but also reinforced the importance of collective action in preserving a clean and healthy environment for all Tagumenyos. A Refresher Training on Current Operating Expenses (COE) was successfully conducted on February 20, 2026, at the City Budget Office Conference Room. The activity aimed to reinforce existing policies, guidelines, and procedures governing the utilization, processing, and monitoring of Current Operating Expenses to ensure compliance with applicable rules and regulations.
The training was participated in by personnel from the City Budget Office, specifically from the Preparation and Review Division and the Budget Ex*****on and Control Division. Representatives from the City Accounting Office also attended, including staff from the Pre-Audit Division and the Accounting Division.
The refresher session focused on updating participants on recent issuances, clarifying common issues encountered in the processing of COE-related documents, and strengthening coordination between the Budget and Accounting Offices. Discussions highlighted proper documentation requirements, internal control measures, and compliance with auditing standards.
An open forum was conducted to address concerns and practical challenges experienced by the divisions, allowing participants to share insights and recommend improvements in workflow and inter-office coordination.
The activity concluded with a renewed commitment from all participating offices to uphold transparency, accountability, and efficiency in the management of Current Operating Expenses.

In line with the 28th Araw ng Tagum celebration,
personnel from the City Budget Office participated in the Thanksgiving Mass held last March 1, 2026 at the Christ the King Cathedral, Gonzales Avenue, Magugpo South,
Tagum City.
The Thanksgiving Mass was conducted as part of the official activities commemorating the founding anniversary of the City of Tagum. The celebration served as a moment of reflection and gratitude for the continuous progress, unity, and achievements of the city and its constituents throughout the years.
City Budget Office personnel attended the Mass in solidarity with other departments of the local
government, demonstrating their support and active participation in city-wide events. The activity provided an opportunity for employees to offer prayers of thanksgiving for the guidance and blessings received, as well as for continued wisdom and strength in delivering efficient and transparent public service.
