It was an honor to welcome the delegation from the Municipality of Makilala, led by their Vice Mayor Atty. Ryan D. Tabanay, for a comprehensive benchmarking activity here in Tagum City.

Together with Councilor Engr. Agripino G. Coquilla, our City Legal Office, Office of the Secretary to the Sanggunian, Business Permit and Licensing Office, Traffic Management Unit, PNP Tagum, and the Civil Security Unit, we tackled the complexities of tricycle service regulations. We were also able to present some of our city’s most pivotal ordinances, offering them as a blueprint for potential adaptation in Makilala. It was equally inspiring to listen to their experiences and learn from the best practices they have successfully implemented in their own municipality.

The Benchmarking Activity went beyond just policy; it was a proud moment to showcase the key places and the local governance practices that make Tagum unique. This two-way street of sharing is exactly what drives our local governments to provide a safer, more organized, and commuter-friendly environment for everyone.

Thank you to our visitors from Municipality of Makilala for a productive collaboration. We are eager to apply these shared insights to continue serving our people better!

As your Vice Mayor and as a mother, I want to remind everyone that our city is a home where love and respect should always come first. Walay room for judgment diri. We are all equal, and we all deserve the same care and opportunities.
